We should win the next two games against Maryland and Illinois. Hopefully those two games are confidence builders for the defense. With special teams being out and us relying on the holder to punt and a kicker that couldn’t put in 30 yds down field it’s tough to get fair assessment of the defense.

We are talking about student-athletes. The student-athletes are gambling with their lives to play a game with no compensation. You want to see a season, provide long term health insurance and payment. Otherwise, wait for a vaccine.

I applaud Warren for his leadership. He is looking at all options and keeping the health of student-athletes in mind.

Bateman will be missed, but I don’t foresee a season. And I don’t blame college athletes for opting out this season. Especially ones that have potential to be drafted as professionals. Does anyone know if the “Loss of Value” insurance that some athletes take covers COVID?

What role, if any does Fleck have in pitching our team to a bowl selection committee? The Rose Bowl is a stretch, but I like our chances with PJ talking up the program.

I’m glad Fleck was able to convince Winfield to stay after Claeys got fired.

Have you read the past articles by Pat? He is critical of all 3 coaches, but would at least praise them if it looked like our program was heading in the right direction. I’ve yet to see an article from Pat that actually acknowledges Fleck success stories.

Weird, Pat is bashing PJ again?!? I mean Fleck only won Big Ten Coach of the Year and brought a divisional title to Minnesota. Tell me again what Claeys, Kill or Mason had won us?

Would people’s perspective change if Wisconsin loses the next 2 games and the Gophers win their bowl game? At the end of the day, we are co-champs of the Big Ten West. It’s a huge accomplishment since we haven’t seen a title since 1967, which was co-owned with 2 other teams. It will be awesome...
