Souhan: Defense once again was awful, and it could have looked worse

Was thinking the same thing. Not only Cody L but MSM #55. Brutal technique and angles to the ball. I guess not only him but others too have whiffed in the last 2 games. Maybe just need better athletes on D to compensate for poor coaching or it could be that they are just so young and we are...

The Gophers have forced 1 punt since Sid Hartman died

Too many helmet stickers, seems like a gimmick. Play good football and win and all the kids will want to play there based on performance not stickers.

Go see a Cornhusker game in Lincoln, you will be prepared and ready to see anything .

Wisconsin is pausing all football-related activities. Saturday’s game at Nebraska will not be played

Yeah I have been lurking there to see the carnage and I will offer a suggestion: HuskerOnline needs a spell check/grammar check option on that board.

    Let's hope Nebraska beats Wisconsin

I think it is an age thing. If you are old enough to have suffered through the 84 to 13 season or other earlier poundings by the Huskers you might hate them too. It goes way back for me, back then Wisconsin was irrelevant so I don't hate the Badgers as much as the Huskers. In my view the Badgers...

    Defensive Concerns

I said this in another thread but how can any team replicate that speed in practice with a scout team. Had to be shocking, at least the Blue Bloods of the football world can be ready for an opener like that with a bench stacked with speedy players even if they are young. The bad angles and other...

Hole Poll: What grade would you give the Gophers coaching in the Michigan game?

Like everyone I see this as a depth issue which takes time/years to develop. Maybe after 4 years we should have more depth than we do I don't know, including kickers. Michigan is a blue blood and they do have depth obviously and for years they can just plug and play a stud. The other other...

Hey let Harbaugh think this is true. Nothing to see here.

    43 Years Ago Today: Michigan 0 - 16 Minnesota

I was there myself, until the Penn State game last fall that Michigan game was my top game attended since 1974. I have to bump that glorious 1977 Michigan game down to #2 now since the Penn State game last fall. 43 years ago seems like maybe 15 to 20 years? Where do the years go?

Pat Caputo: P.J. Fleck to Michigan could make sense

I don't see it happening. PJ stays here and wins the Big Ten, becomes the AD etc.... When Michigan fires Harbaugh they should go after someone like Urban Meyer. Nebraska should have hired someone like Meyer but they went for Uncle Rico and look where that decision has taken them; they are on a...

Bad News on the Covid Front

I will bet that since we, well those of us smart folk, are social distancing and wearing a mask, the flu deaths are lower this year than normal. COVID is probably more contagious and we are seeing new numbers for flu that will be lower than what history shows. Why is this so hard for people to...

    Interesting articles.. thoughts?

Maybe this gentleman should try to get a job as a professor in the MIAC. D3 was built for a lower level of commitment to allow for less stress on student athletes. A P5 school has several million dollars to generate and that is hard on everybody.

    River Flats - Tailgating

Sounds about same as when my daughter attended the U from 2015 to 2019. Off campus the crime rate has always been there but on campus with all the cameras the crime is very low according to the police. We are talking about South Minneapolis here so it is always a good idea to be cautious.
