Cignetti half time comments leaving the field

There had to be a spot in one of the 55 other Cignetti threads where this post could have gone :)

Will Fleck learn from watching Cignetti's aggressive play calls and creativity?

Indiana got the look they wanted and the play worked, my point was simply that had a Miami player made the stop the opinion of that play call would have changed drastically.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT OHIO STATE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

So is this the game where Puff Johnson gets to begin his inexplicable 6th year of eligibility? Team has been playing well, hopefully can get a win to show for it. Need another post road win snack stop video although I suppose that might not happen since this would be a flight not bus trip.

Here’s evidence against the almighty $

And being able to stop the run as well. Indiana had the #1 rushing offense AND #1 rushing defense in the conference.

Will Fleck learn from watching Cignetti's aggressive play calls and creativity?

To some people a run play that doesn't work was a bad play call when if fact it might have been the perfect call it just wasn't executed. On the 4th down QB draw there was a Miami defender who could have blown up the play but failed to make the play so the play becomes an aggressive genius...

Will Fleck learn from watching Cignetti's aggressive play calls and creativity?

Yep. Mendoza threw for over 300 yards 1 time (299 in one other game). They were just ridiculously efficient with their passing game as he had 6 games with over 80% completion percentage. They won by having top end talent all over the field, a great defense and a really balanced offensive attack.

Why not us .... wheres our curt cignetti

Maybe some rich guy with Minnesota ties saw Cuban being interviewed on the field post game and it will motivate him to try and do that here :)

Will Fleck learn from watching Cignetti's aggressive play calls and creativity?

Having a Heisman Trophy winning QB who is going to be the #1 pick in the draft under center makes it a lot easier to be super aggressive. The QB draw was a gutsy play call, and if Miami doesn't miss multiple tackles there may be a very different take on that decision today.

    Grayson Grove progression

Yeah, he does not look comfortable at the line at all. 4-17 is shockingly bad and will keep him off the court in close game situations because teams would be foolish not to hack him and send him to the line. But he definitely has the look of someone who can develop into a solid rotation piece...

Here’s evidence against the almighty $

Yep. Hire Cignetti in the old days of college football (5 years ago) and he almost certainly improves them but they would not have been able to do anything like what they just did. It was the perfect storm of everything coming together.

What's the appropriate time to wait before hating Indiana?

The fact that Indiana just went undefeated and won a National Title is the poster child for just how insane and upside down college athletics is right now. Shows what can happen if you can find the right coach who clearly has a really good eye for talent, give them the resources ($$$) they need...

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Made the Alvarez and Becker departures official.....will be interesting to see how many things change between now and the start of the season.

New Roster is up on Gopher Sports

To me the main reason we have a chance to be better at WR is the only real production that has to be replaced is Brockington who was good but not the kind of guy it will be really hard to replace. Thompson would seem like the most likely option assuming he pans out at all. The other big factor...

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

lol @ "owed to them". I am sure Fleck has lots of conversations with players who are leaving and this gratitude you are looking for may even get expressed in those meetings. Just because it isn't on social media doesn't mean it didn't happen.

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

The tweets players put out about their love for their previous school as they are heading to the portal are completely pointless. There is nothing wrong with doing them but they are basically just a form letter. Fleck doesn't waste time commenting on players that don't want to be Gophers. It...

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

This - I don't think Koi is comfortable doing a lot of media stuff.

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

Fleck could make a token statement about Koi, and Koi could put out a token tweet about his love for the U......both would be pointless. Fleck doesn't talk about guys who transfer, he has been very consistent with that. Shouldn't treat Koi any different.

QB Jackson Kollock will enter the portal.

Remember back in the old days when eligibility made sense.....I miss those days :) Kid committed, had 5 years to play 4, sometimes got an extra year due to a medical redshirt....simpler times.....

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

You aren't forgetting. Fleck has been very consistent in not talking about guys who go into the portal.

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

The one plus side of Miami winning is that it would remind people there are football conferences outside of the Big Ten and SEC. Those two have become the sole focus of the college football world and the other conference get pushed to the background. But yeah, tough to root for a program like...
