Post Game Thread: Drake, Koi Lead Gophers to Crazy Comeback Homecoming Win!!

I'm not going to argue about that. I will add that the early knock on PJ was that his teams couldn't mount a comeback for many years. This might be the first year he's had multiple comeback wins. You could say this is growth.

This Gophers team is worse than last year. Next year's team will be better. Agree or disagree?

Where did I say Fleck is a better coach than Cignetti? I think if Fleck had similar resources that Cignetti is working with, he'd have similar results. Just my opinion.

Post Game Thread: Drake, Koi Lead Gophers to Crazy Comeback Homecoming Win!!

This is why I love The Drake. I know he got help from the Koi pick 6, but he's a leader who finds ways to put the team in a position to win close games.

This Gophers team is worse than last year. Next year's team will be better. Agree or disagree?

If we had Cignetti as the HC before the start of the year, the Gophers would be contending for a CFP spot this year. It's as simple as that. The schedule and NIL level are irrelevant. Hell, we would have crushed the Buckeyes with Cignetti coaching. I learned this from a couple of CFB geniuses...

Got it! In your mind, Indiana being in a better NIL position has nothing to do with their success this year. We could just trade coaches and Minnesota would be contending for a CFP spot right now. You convinced me and I see the light. Enjoy the rest of the Gophers game.

Serious question, do you think Indiana's season last year was any different than PJ's 2019 season? They had a better record, but their best win was against a mediocre Michigan team. They didn't beat anyone that the 2019 Gophers wouldn't beat. They got the breaks last year. To Indiana's credit...

Where did I say that? I'm pointing out that Cignetti has some built in advantages to attracting better talent than PJ does. I don't know enough about him to judge him personally.

It has been reported that Indiana's NIL funds are nearly double Minnesota's. Regardless if that's accurate or not, I don't know what the color the sky is your world if you think Minnesota is anywhere close to Indiana in money terms.

Fair. Still he's building a team through the portal and has had the benefit of the weakest schedule in the conference. NIL is also a couple notches higher than Minnesota also.

None of Indiana's transfers came from JMU last year and 9 of the 23 total came from G5 schools. The majority of transfers came from B1G, SEC and ACC schools including Mendoza, a Cal transfer.

Trust me, Minnesota's NC schedule was a gauntlet compared to Indiana.

If PJ had the advantage of a Mark Cuban to bankroll a bunch of talented transfers and scheduled the puffiest of creampuffs for the noncon, don't you think he would have similar results?

2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

I'm curious to hear a hog fan's perspective on Arkansas passing on Drake Lindsey. How upset were a lot of fans?
