    Early Mock Draft - Gophers

Ersery and Walley both high NFL draft picks! Starting as a freshman at Minnesota predicts big things.

Emmett Morehead (ODU QB) Transfers to the Gophers

How many 300 yard 3 TD passing games have Gopher QBs had against winning P5 competition? Looks like a good get for depth if nothing else.

Emmett Morehead (ODU QB) Transfers to the Gophers

Welcome aboard the boat! Morehead has been a reserve QB at ODU, not their incumbent starter. Which means he's likely a depth add. His only college stats were at Boston College, where it looks like he started a few games in 2022

Kordell Stewart doesn’t have his number retired. He won two bowl games and finished in the top 10 twice. But he wasn’t the coach's son. 🤷‍♂️

Possibly. Will be interesting to see if Cleveland takes him. He's got the potential to be the Johnny Football of the 2020s.

Why are so many former top-100 recruits hitting the transfer portal so quickly?

I mentioned this in another thread but the Gophers project to be the only Big Ten team to start a non-5 star QB who hasn't ever transferred. Underwood, Raiola, Allar are the only 3 others and all were 5 stars.

Who would like the Gophers to have an intense rivalry with Notre Dame?

Is the expanded B1G schedule not hard enough already without playing Notre Dame most/every year? Which is what an "intense rivalry" should entail. We already have intense rivalries and protected games with two upper-half programs which makes the journey that much tougher. It would be fun to...

Reusse: Report cards are now available for all coaches and managers (PJ Fleck: B)

Coaches constantly preach to treat every game the same. Whether it's Ohio State, wisconsin, or Rhode Island. If you say "Rhode Island isn't good enough to celebrate beating" then not only are you killing fun but you are also sending the message that you should downplay supposedly lesser foes...

Ranking BIG 10 QBs (Badger Wire)

It finally progressed to the point of what amounted to a trade the other day between UCLA and Tennessee. I predict we'll see actual trades start popping up as the decade goes on.

Ranking BIG 10 QBs (Badger Wire)

Only 4 of 18 projected starting QBs in the Big Ten are with the team they joined out of high school. All other QBs have transferred at least once. Drake Lindsey (Minnesota) Bryce Underwood (Michigan) Dylan Raiola (Nebraska) Drew Allar (Penn State) Two of those players were the #1 overall...

Cal football in turmoil and losing many to portal

Cal football has been losing a lot of players to the portal as it sounds like they are working through some internal struggles. 10 players transferred out this week including the entire RB room. Their QB left for Indiana earlier this offseason. Cal is of course on the 2025 schedule and visits...

Minnesota quarterback Zach Pyron has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer, @On3sports has learned.

I don't know if we should see this as a strong statement for Lindsay or as the staff whiffing on their choice of portal QB this cycle. If he was operating as the #3 it's probably the latter. But he did have some success in ACC competition.

Syracuse WR supposedly demanding $2 mil, enters portal.

2 mil is a lot for a guy who wasn't even the main option for Syracuse. He was #2 in yards, behind another WR and nearly tied with their tight end. They had a good QB last year and passed a lot. He's a grad transfer so there's not a ton of upside from that. Before that he barely played.

Kordell Stewart doesn’t have his number retired. He won two bowl games and finished in the top 10 twice. But he wasn’t the coach's son. 🤷‍♂️

It's good to retire Travis Hunter's number. He's a Heisman winner and also the most significant 2-way player of the modern era. Rashaan Salaam's number is retired at CU and a lot of programs including Minnesota would consider a Heisman worthy of jersey retirement. Bruce Smith's number is...

All Things Roman Voss Thread (Gophers Commit!)

I don't think it's that deep. If he's not going to play QB he's probably not getting much of any "real NIL" opportunities anywhere. Unless he can build a rare following with social media. If money is his driving consideration it's about who can provide him with the "salary from the program"...

    WR Moore commits!

Those are some pants I wear some wild stuff sometimes and started the whole M&G sequined jackets at the Gopher game thing, but that's next level

    Utah to B1G?

I can't believe the Big Ten would pass on Stanford and Cal and then go for Utah and ??? Financially, academically, athletically...none of it makes sense.
