Peterson: My post-spring Big Ten quarterback rankings entering 2024 (16. Athan Kaliakmanis, Rutgers; 9. Max Brosmer, Minnesota)

I stand corrected...not sure why I thought he was from Connecticut. Regardless, sloppy of me. Apologies to everyone. Yes, HUGE numbers at Madison. From Wikipedia:

Peterson: My post-spring Big Ten quarterback rankings entering 2024 (16. Athan Kaliakmanis, Rutgers; 9. Max Brosmer, Minnesota)

While we all had high hopes for AK, his most recent experience predominantly was high school ball. Whereas Brosmer has a nice track record at one level below D1. Whiskey got a pretty good season out of Russell Wilson who came over from Connecticut, and he was probably ranked 9th best B10 QB in...

Action Network HQ has the Gophers winning five games.

If the Gophers beat UNC and they more or less appear in control from the opening kick-off with steady QB play, I'm willing to dream big and think 8-wins is an achievable record. Arminius aka Homer Sota

Big Ten football coaches who are on the hot seat in the 2024 season (#1. PJ Fleck, Minnesota)

When I talk to high school/college coaches or people I randomly see wearing Gopher gear in Walmart, I usually ask about PJF and no one has ever said that he has to go. Most think PJ has done a very good job. Yes, some answer, "Who ya gonna get?" But they follow that with, "I like where the...

Forgive me... what is SP+? I'll hang up and listen.

Burning spring football questions for every Big Ten team (Minnesota: What will the new QB provide?)

Umm, not a high bar...and like all of us, I had high hopes for AK

Who else is optimistic about the 2024 season?

I've thought about this and read the others here... I think (hope?) 6 wins is the minimum and with a chip and a chair and a chance (or luck and a tail wind) we might get to 8...carry on, Homer Sota

    Soon…

To paraphrase the Dalai Lama, whom I don't agree with on much, " I choose to be optimistic. It feels better.” Further, I think the Maroon & Gold will be a pleasant surprise this season. GoGophers!

Drop Your Way-Too-Early B1G Standings Predictions HERE

A pretty good "jus'the facts ma'am" ranking...my heart puts the Gophers more in the middle...but until a game or two it's a pretty solid list.

I'm sorry for not stopping in more often. especially with your Bowl win

To quote Common, "Either you're on something or you're onto something" Les...but I'm willing to jump into the boat with you! And yes, re our new QB, "I have a bad great feeling about this!" to borrow from Star Wars.

    Who is Everyones Other Team?

Lots of Iowans visit New Ulm during Oktoberfest...whenever I talk to Iowa State fans they are so nice...we have wonderful football conversations...most of them say, and people here can disagree with them, "I like your coach." They also will tell me, which I already knew, "Iowa fans are so nasty!"

    Who is Everyones Other Team?

(First time caller here...) 1. Gophers (my first GFB memory is watching a game in 1967 as a small kid when there was a 3-way tie for the B10 title...attended GFB games coached by Cal Stoll, Smokey Joe, Glenn Mason, Tim Brewster, Kill, PJF) 2. Martin Luther College Knights (my Lutheran synod) 3...
