USA Today BT Coaching Rankings: Fleck 7th, Rhule 5th

I'm still skeptical that Ryan Day and James Franklin are the two best coaches and wonder how they would do at programs with less resources. Especially Day. I don't think there's nearly the gap between them and Sherrone Moore that this list suggests.

USA Today BT Coaching Rankings: Fleck 7th, Rhule 5th

Bielema is too low and Rhule is too high. Bielema's won this league a couple times and has improved Illinois a lot. Rhule won the AAC and got 2nd in the Big XII once.

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

I've already said my part on the presidential overreach but I do think getting to a salary cap system would be great for college football engagement and money making. I strongly disagree with the notion that everyone wants to see the same 5-10 juggernaut schools play for titles each year, and...

Big Ten Football: Biggest post-spring concerns for every team (Minnesota — Who will emerge as the top wide receiver?)

I'm still hyped about LeMeke Brockington Another big pass game wildcard is how much Darius Taylor is used as a receiver. A big difference between last season and the others under Fleck was how much Taylor was used in the pass game. We'll see if that stays constant with a new QB.

Leveraging the GHX Model to Optimize NIL Deals

This sounds like a useful marketplace to match athletes with brands looking for a partnership and part of any kind of structured solution. What I would call "true NIL deals" But..it seems like most NIL these days is just flat out buying players and has little or nothing to do with players...

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

I'm old enough to remember a party that would have said the president dictating what a class of private citizens can be paid was wrong. Communism, even. When the president sticking his nose into the affairs of almost every private industry was wrong, and when they would they would call anyone...

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

A NIL salary cap or any kind of draft system would be absolutely fantastic for Gopher Football and a dream scenario. A path to the 8th national championship because we're a big fish as an OG Big Ten member in a major metro area, but not able to be the biggest fish under a free-for-all setup...

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

I remember when there was a party that strongly opposed such ideas. And still does when it's a different kind of person (older, whiter, owner vs. younger, blacker, employee/student) earning the high income.

Anything that has wisconsin = bad is clickbait for me

Wow: 4 star Recruit Trae Taylor just hit Illinois with an all time disrespectful pump fake (video)

These fakeouts are always kinda dumb. Especially done against your in-state school. I think the only time the fakeout stunt is fun is when you pretend you are going to Alabama but haha nah it's Minnesota and the crowd in Bemidji goes wild. Underdog and in-state has to win that act.

5 biggest questions Gophers football must answer this summer

I realized yesterday that for those of us who are Gophers/Vikings fans that both teams are going into '25 with solid rosters and a promising young QB who has never thrown a meaningful pass at that level. Could be studs, could be disasters, more likely somewhere in between

    RB Zeke Bates commits!

It's wild that we're openly signing paid contracts with players now and yet there's still the wink-wink-nod-nod rule with coaches and acknowledging commitments. Batman has moved all the way from ROW18 to ROW26. If this keeps up we'll be in the upper deck soon.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Shedeur's attitude or ability aside, one takeaway from this draft will be a lot fewer QBs putting their name in the draft with remaining eligibility. Unless they are absolutely certain of going Rd1. Shedeur, Ewers, and a few other QBs taken in this draft will take pay cuts to go pro. Sanders...

Georgia WR Tyler Williams has committed to MN

The number of prestige program 4 star transfers who have stood out here has been low. Only Ben St Juste that I can think of walked right into the starting lineup and on to the NFL and made Michigan look foolish. Quinn Carroll became a solid multi-year starter and a couple of DTs gave us...

This says it all about the Gophers Football Program

I think the fact that there is a thread with this title on the fan forum and it’s earnestly positive and not some sign of doom and embarrassment says it all about the Gopher football program.

Emmett Morehead (ODU QB) Transfers to the Gophers

How many 300 yard 3 TD passing games have Gopher QBs had against winning P5 competition? Looks like a good get for depth if nothing else.
