Official 2027 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Rumors

As I was looking at the Summer Splash visit list for the last week in May and the first weekend June, I thought it was interesting we had two kids from Iowa City making the trip. It's interesting in that Tate Wallace (4-Star LB & #2 in the state) doesn't appear to have Iowa on his list on 247. Then Savion Miller (3-Star RB & #5 in the state) doesn't appear to have Iowa high on his list either. Did Kirk have a little falling-out with the local HS program on his back porch?

Of course, you always want talent, but it would also put a smile on my face if we ended up with 3 of Iowa's top 10 kids (with Will Clausen already committed) at the UofM, as we know that would annoy the $hit out of Iowa fans. Not to mention, Tate would be a huge get with Tenn, ND, & Georgia on his offer list.

I think it’d be a great step for the program if we can start beating Iowa for some of their instate prospects. We’re seeing it in Wisconsin and we’ve clamped our borders down pretty well, next step Iowa!

The big summer splash at the end of the month now has 2 composite 4 star defenders, as well as Hamer and Inferrera, to help recruit some intriguing DB targets and other modestly ranked players!

I don’t understand this post at all. Minnesota has done very recruiting Wi the last few years. The badgers have been terrible. Minnesota has not recruited Iowa very well and Hawkeyes have been a lot better. Very happy with the start to this recruiting class.
We’re agreeing sorry for the confusion. If I’m prioritizing a state to recruit well it’s definitely Iowa over Wisconsin but more just wondering what’s changed since last year seems like wisky got a bunch of quick commitments after a shite season. Was expecting more in our class, especially after last year getting Hamilton and Meier, couple of ballers

Zak Walker (CB) from Moorhead committed to the Gophers. Very fast, has run a 10.57 100m in track this spring and set the Moorhead school record (also the best in the state this spring) in the long jump at 24'8".
Just hand the ball off to him and let him jump a couple times a drive.

Badgers have 8 of top 10 instate 2027 commits
