Ole Miss started a QB last night that spent 4 years in D2So, so far I see 3 d2 guys, one FCS guy and one dude who couldn’t see the field on a ratty MSU squad.
I love how they swing for the fences
Right, I don’t really care where they come from as long as they were productive. No spot starters/backups from bad P4 teams (and below obviously).Ole Miss started a QB last night that spent 4 years in D2
Amen. You get your talent wherever you can.Ole Miss started a QB last night that spent 4 years in D2
Max Brosmer, Jack Gibbens were at smaller level schools. I'm not sure what your expectations are here. Portal season is not over yet and maybe Minnesota wants to develop their own talent and not rely on the portal? So, so far I see 3 d2 guys, one FCS guy and one dude who couldn’t see the field on a ratty MSU squad.

There's two strategies a program can use with limited NIL IMO. Try to get a bunch of solid but not great transfers. Or try to bring in 3-5 higher dollar, very impactful transfers and fill the rest of the spots with low cost role players. The 2nd option is the better one IMO, especially if you're able to keep the majority of your impact players from the previous year. So, so far I see 3 d2 guys, one FCS guy and one dude who couldn’t see the field on a ratty MSU squad.

I’d think they have the ability to get 6-10 higher dollar transfers. There's two strategies a program can use with limited NIL IMO. Try to get a bunch of solid but not great transfers. The portal just opened up, I think we gotta let it play out a bit first.

It was a low hanging fruit joke to piss people off. I don't care who they offer really lol, shoot I actually want the kid from Duluth. Ive wanted him since he hit the portal. There's two strategies a program can use with limited NIL IMO. Try to get a bunch of solid but not great transfers. 6-10 seems like a lot too me. I can’t see us getting more than one or two if it actually comes down to a bidding war.I’d think they have the ability to get 6-10 higher dollar transfers.
I also agree this should be the approach.
Solidify OL & DL, improve CB then WR.
6-10 legitimate starters seems very plausible to me.6-10 seems like a lot too me. I can’t see us getting more than one or two if it actually comes down to a bidding war.
I'm hoping we consolidate some of those funds and get 1 higher end RT.6-10 legitimate starters seems very plausible to me.
Quinn Carroll, Jack Henderson, Ethan Robinson, Elijah Spencer level guys.
Beau JohnsonI'm hoping we consolidate some of those funds and get 1 higher end RT.
The OL seems close (IMO) to being decent but that RT position could haunt us.
I’ve been thinking 2 OL but wouldn’t be upset with 1.I'm hoping we consolidate some of those funds and get 1 higher end RT.

This makes more sense in the context that we also offered his brother who was a true freshman and played 380 snaps at CB for Michigan State this year. Seems like a package deal.
Interesting...can't find any confirmation anywhere but would make sense they want another QB with Kollack leaving.Just opened the 247 portal page to this lolView attachment 41251
Will be a sophomore. Redshirted at UNC, then transferred to Liberty. Was originally offered by the Gophers out of High School.Just opened the 247 portal page to this lolView attachment 41251

A bit of a team jumper. Wonder if he’ll transfer next year when he doesn’t play over Drake. Will be a sophomore. Redshirted at UNC, then transferred to Liberty. Was originally offered by the Gophers out of High School.
