An early BT battle between two undefeated conference teams, one coming off a big win and now one coming off a brutal loss. Mackey is not for the faint of heart, one of the toughest places to come out with a BT win and Purdue will be fired up after getting humiliated by Iowa State.

Honestly, we need to play near perfect. And we'll need some breaks. But bigger upsets have happened.

So let's come ready to ball out. Let's play shutdown defense, take their first punch and stay standing unlike Penn State at Indiana last night.

To take a page from Fleck, "We're 0-0 in tonight's game." The kids have to come in to Mackey with blinders on, not thinking about the past or what happened with Purdue in the Boilermaker's last game. Just walk on to Keady Court and play the best game they can play, win or lose. That's all I hope for. Play hard and play smart. If the kids get beat because of superior athleticism, so be it. Just don't get beat because you weren't mentally ready to play the game.
 





What are the chances that Purdue drops the next 6 games for a 7 game losing streak and they pull a Penn State and fire Painter for going from number 1 to out of the top 25?

I’m giving this a goose egg chance!

Sorry to be Debbie downer here Stan but David won't be taking down Goliath at Mackey tonight. I think the Gopher will have zero chance vs a few teams in conference however I believe they will be competitive in a high majority of conference tilts this winter.

May be able to keep the game competitive if they keep playing like this. Just got to start hitting a few more of their open shots.
