The Portal and the xDSU’s

I certainly look at offer lists when we pickup guys, but I'm a fan and I do not know these players.

But I'm pretty sure the coaches on most teams DO NOT CARE where the player is from. It's all:

1. Is he a good prospect?

2. Can we get him?

If it turns out we don't take any form some schools, doesn't matter.

I think we’re headed toward an era of college football where 3*s don’t ever go to ANY P4 school right out of high-school. They will have to record stats in a G6/FCS school to get a roster spot.

That's a very good point, but I think maybe exaggerated a bit. When you're bringing in portal guys, that would seem to reduce the number of 3*s you need to "settle for". Those guys go to lower programs and portal up if they prove they are worth it. I just don't think there are enough 4*s available to fill a recruiting class especially at a place like Minnesota. We will see!

Hate to say it ... but would an NDSU player who is good enough to portal up to the Big Ten ... choose to come to Minnesota?

My guess is they would say something like "... then why didn't you recruit me in the first place?"
Nor did Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska or Iowa St.

A lot of the xDSU talent comes from Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska. The guys that have left these schools haven't been loyal to our headed towards their home states when they've left.
