POST GAME THREAD: GOPHERS DOMINATE HUSKERS!! WIN 6TH STRAIGHT VS NEBRASKA!!!!

Purdue is really fast and they had great escapes by their Quarterbacks. Gophers fought hard that game and prevailed. Tonight was fun not having to listen to go Big Red after first quarter. Gophers play tough, the cardiac kids were the more prepared domiant team. Raiola should not have taunted the Gopher student section, it's bad luck. Our coaches worked hard and Gophers were the much more prepared team. Looking forward to the Fight for Floyd.
This post didn't age well.

You mean the Purdue team that Northwestern shut out yesterday? The same Purdue team we gave up 256 yards rushing to that Northwestern held to 87? The same Purdue team that held us to 30 yards of rushing that Northwestern gained 232 yards on?

Yeah. Real monsters of the midway that Purdue team.

Purdue left a lot of points on the table, but we made plays when we needed to and came away with the "W." No need to apologize or justify it, just put it int eh win column, but you can't ignore we were in a tight game with a bad team that showed a lot of heart in the game.

Who cares? The team that rolled out Friday would’ve beaten Purdue by 30.

Congrats on your WIN over Nebraska! Funny thing is that Charlotte and her whole family are steadfast Nebraska fans. I'll pull for the Huskers as long as they are not playing against one of the teams that I prefer, and so I had to watch the Gophers' game in the living room, so as not to upset her. Let there be peace in the family. ;)

Is it true that some other team wants to cop your Head coach? If so is there any chance he would leave?

***** APPOLOGIES FROM THE GOPHER WITH TALONS
Sorry About bringing Ga. Southern again on this fine board but it's the only board I trust to post my discus about the downfall of Georgia Southern's once proud winning football heritage without getting blasted by other teams and GS fans. Just Venting to you, that's all.

After 10 years of switching to a pistol or Shotgun, 90% passing offense I long to return to the Flex Triple Option with a true Fullback and QB under center 90% of the time. I am tired of 6-6 seasons and how our AD has tarnished Georgia Southerns winning past Now when other teams play us they see mediocracy instead of a JUGERNAUT on offense and I'll throw the Defense for good measure. Sadly, if our current HC were to lose his contract next year, I fear that our AD would just install another cookie cutter, full on, passing offense that every other team knows how defend against.

I was one who thought the Huskers would prevail. One of the best Gopher victories in my 40+ years of watching Gopher football.
I have to admit the OL looked improved, but I still would replace the right tackle. The OL was winning the battle - reminiscent of a Gordy Shaw coached performance.
Where has Kinsbury been all season? The other LBS were absence some of the time.
Still could use some tackling drills, especially our cornerbacks.
Has somebody kidnapped your key board?

Yup. How do we have a team ready to go consistently? Isn't that the job of the head coach?

We've been ready at the kick-off for exactly one game so far this year against a D-1 team.

And it was awesome.

It's Monday and I'm still not ready to turn the page to Iowa. Just too much fun soaking in the Nebraska fan melt downs far and wide.

And, semi related... if this game had a signature moment I will always remember, it HAD to be the Matt Kingsbury sack. That should be an iconic play for that kid, and a symbol of the Gopher winning streak over Nebraska, for all eternity.

Field level shot of the Sack.....doesn't do the launching of Johnson part justice but cool reaction shot. You know that clip was watched a ton of times on Sunday in the complex.

Out of town. People stormed the field after beating Nebraska? How embarrassing is that?

I like our linebackers for next year portal willing Baronowski, , Kingsbury, and Karmo is a great foundation. That said, I have not been a huge fan of Williams but I thought he had the best game of his career against Nebraska.

It was 90% students and what the hell let them have a little fun
Yeah...that one felt more like the students just wanting to go party with the players as opposed to a typical field storming.

Was fun seeing all the fans getting selfies with Drake.....more love the fans show him the better.....anything that helps motivate him to stick around.
