Golden State Warriors/Minnesota Timberwolves

This thread is so wild...tons of comments when they're playing horribly, but after that INCREDIBLE 3rd quarter???

It helps when the team they are playing isn't really a playoff team.

No Steph changes things but I don't know if I completely believe this. They had a winning record without him this season, even pre Jimmy. How much does someone like Kuminga play if Steph is playing? Likely a lot less.

The Warriors are a great defensive team, play hard, and have a HOF coach. Nothing is ever easy in the playoffs. The Wolves have been the best clutch team by far in the playoffs so far, and will likely be the most rested of the final 4 teams. I'm not going to complain about that.

True on the defense, but if Steph is out for 1/2 the season or more, they are in the lottery IMO.

The Wolves will need to clean up the lazy passing if they are going to beat Denver/OKC. Those teams will score off the turnovers, unlike the Warriors.

the part that was a little alarming was that GS wanted to push tempo and we didn't get back numerous times. Denver loves to run and OKC can play with a ton of pace and shot the 3ball very well during the regular season.

that said, if ever a season hit a perfect storm of top teams going down or being run rough, this is it. the east looks very beatable and OKC is getting pushed by (and pushing) Denver. Ripe opportunity for hte wolves

Does Naz realize when tries to dribble more than 15 feet from the hoop he gets ripped 2 out of three times… chest high dribbles not a good idea… ripped or poked away from behind..

The Warriors are doing the smart thing by putting tons of pressure on the ball handlers as soon as they cross midcourt. Guys like Naw, Naz, and Donte are really having a hard time with it. Lots of turnovers and desperate passes. Root for Denver to beat OKC as the Thunder are even better at it.

Naz is getting ripped out in the open trying to push it up court like he is Magic or Giannis.. the others are ball pressure related

The spread is MIN -10.5 and the O/U is 203.5 for tonight's game. It's been hard to predict which Wolves team will show up when they're heavy favorites but I would hammer that Over.

I think that Steve Kerr is overrated as an NBA coach, here's my take.

1) Kerr has been riding the coat-tails of having Steph Curry on his teams, and he inheriting a GS team in 2015 with multiple other future HOF's on that team. (Klay and Draymond).
He didn't build the team, he just got lucky.
2) Steph Curry was hurt for the 2020-21 season, and GS had the worst record in the NBA.
3) Kerr said he would not have drafted ANT, if they had the 1st overall pick.
4) GS has lost every game this series, when Curry did not play.

GO WOLVES.

Imagine 10 years ago thinking this organization would make back to back conference finals appearances. Cheers wolves fans, I think I can go to bed early tonight.

I thought Jim Peterson was announcing until they showed Van Gundy at halftime. They sound the same to me.

I agree

Do the refs hate Ant at this point because of how much he complains? Like what is his relationship going to be with them in another few years? Super star that gets zero calls?

I don’t watch a ton of nba, but give he was voted in the 15 best coaches of all time by his colleagues, I’ll trust them instead
