So basically it is Davis for Doncic?
Hard to believe, but looks like it's true.

"I believe that defense wins championships," Mavs general manager Nico Harrison told ESPN's Dave McMenamin regarding his motivation to trade Doncic for Davis. "I believe that getting an All-Defensive center and an All-NBA player with a defensive mindset gives us a better chance. We're built to win now and in the future."

Luka MUST have told DAL he wanted the eff out. I can't think of another possible reason the Mavs made this trade. Outside of Wemby, how many other players in the NBA have higher trade value than Doncic? SGA? Jokic?

On RealGM, Mavs fans are threatening to burn down Dallas. 😂

Dallas is desperate for a center with a defense first mindset? Like Daniel Gafford and Derrick Lively? Weird, weird deal.
 

I just texted a friend that you never know what goes on behind the scenes. Hard to believe Luka didn't know something was up. Anybody can be traded in the NBA at any time for any reason, even Ant! The feel good stories and the feel good quotes are always nice, but they are empty calories. We should enjoy Ant while we have him. He could be gone tomorrow for the equivalent of an Anthony Davis, a very good player who won't lead you to a championship and who nobody will remember in five years.

Anthony Davis is highly likely to be a Hall of Famer, so I'm pretty sure he'll be remembered in 5 years.

Agree that he will be a Hall of Famer. However, he’s a number two player (like KAT) and he doesn’t have the “it” factor that makes some players really memorable. Luka and Ant are two players that have the “it” factor in addition to the talent.

Funny rumor of the day:

The Mavs Owner, Miriam Adelson, is Jewish and a huge supporter of Israel. Slovenia has a large anti-Semetic movement and she didn't want any Slovenian players on her roster.

Interesting. If it were the case I'd think Kyrie would have been gone a while ago. I've never heard of Luka being associated with anything anti-semitic. Not so with Kyrie.
