2022 Transfer Portal Discussion

Not really a who's who of programs there. Hopefully the staff sees something in him others don't if we are really pushing for him
It seems like the fact Hunter is keeping his eligibility was enough for Thompson to want to leave. Don't know much about their incoming recruits but it looks like he would've taken over PG duties if Hunter left. They have Foster Loyer's younger brother coming in who might be a PG, don't know what that would mean for Thompson.

Ihnen came to Minnesota because Pitino said he'd give him a shot to play point guard like Coffey,
He liked the offensive freedom and didn't see himself as a post player.
That was his thinking in coming here. Maybe it has changed.

OK, I guess that makes sense. Coffey was a lousy point guard and Ihnen was a lousy small forward but maybe Pitino was just giving them what they wanted.

Nah, hate it when the team I spend lots of $$$ on and follow closely wins a lot.

🙄
Good, we're in agreement. So for now I'll choose to be positive because it costs me nothing and if we're not good next year I'll be bummed but I'll still choose positivity because I'd rather be positive and wrong then negative and right.

I choose reality. Always.

I'm not sure we know that with Ihnen. Pitino placed him in the wing often but he was miscast there. He performed much better when playing inside.
I recall Ihnen saying he saw himself as a guard when he came in. I see him as a 3 or 4. In then end it is all about matchups. In a small lineup he could be a 4. I don't see him as a 5, he is just not comfortable with scoring when his back is to the basket but we haven't had anyone that was since Liam and we won't until we get someone from the portal or some of the Bigs develop that kind of game.

Will Richard, the freshman guard from Belmont, has chosen to transfer to Florida.

Reality is the transfer portal. Now.
I can understand your confusion.
So what's reality then? That we want someone and they sign? Or we want someone and they don't sign? Explain exactly what that has to do with reality and not your interpretation of it.

6'7" and 275lbs, is he a poor mans Charles Barkley? 275 seems too heavy for a 6'7" basketball player.

Saw him a few times this past year. Undersized PF... but surprisingly quick feet and can really score the ball. I would take him in a heartbeat, but I bet some of the big boys will be after him.

Painful… 5 free posts than they should charge $5.00 a post…. Money goes to a charity…
