    Typical fleck game

Averaging a win more per year would seem to make an occasional outlier 10 win season, and a CFP birth, much more likely and achievable. As it is, it seems like an outlier 9 wins is probably as much as can be hoped for, and even then a stretch. Maybe revenue sharing will level the field more...

    Typical fleck game

I thought FB was getting 70% even though FB accounts for 75% of department revenue? Also, increased scholarships over existing 83 (up to 105) come out of revenue sharing. So really, the amount is $14 million for FB less the cost of any additional scholarships, Alston, etc beyond 83.

    Typical fleck game

I think he's already hit the ceiling at 10 wins but its tough to say that that really is the ceiling. By my math, not counting 2020, PJ's teams average 7.25 regular season wins. 2019 and its 10 wins seem to be an outlier although I'm no statistician and maybe 2019 isn't statistically...

    How To Fix College Football

The Sports Broadcasting Act's scope is very narrow. It has nothing to do with collective bargaining between the league and players and instead, permits the league's team, through the league, to collude on negotiating broadcast television rights. It's an irrelevancy to the issue of collective...

Gophers leaders chime in on tenuous future of bowl games

Bowl teams should be able to draft players from non bowl teams or opt outs like town team baseball. Fill in some holes left by players opting out. Also, conferences and the bowls shouldn't be afraid of conference matchups. With the conferences getting ever larger, why not match up a couple...

All Things P.J. Fleck Rumor Mill Thread - Listed as Candidate for Other Jobs

I think PJ is a very good manager of young men. There's been very little negative press surrounding the FB program. The GPA has been great. PJ would instantly have better teams at a brand school like Michigan that is attractive to recruits because of history, NIL, etc. There's no doubt he'd...

So, the argument is take any average to above average QB and drop him into an offense with all world cast around him and he is a Heisman candidate and so Michigan should target Fleck to get said average to above agree QB instead of getting a good QB through recruiting, portal etc? I get it now...

Gophers leaders chime in on tenuous future of bowl games

No one is forced to watch any particular game. Some enjoy watching Kennesaw State and Mobile Barbers College square off in a late December game. Eliminating the crap bowls doesn't make the Rate Bowl any more attractive.

    Max

There's a reason he wasn't drafted. 32 NFL teams didn't want to use a pick on him. He might have a future in the NFL but he's done nothing on the field to prove it or reason for any team to grant him the patience to develop.

    Max

McCarthy and Wentz also played behind the Vikings mishash lines this season. McCarthy has improved. Wentz made something from morning. Max might get better but he's not showing that he'll stick so far.

DIII schools get several hundred kids to pay to play sports instead of paying several hundred kids to play sports. That's property number one. Enrollment incentive.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

ISUr is a bit of on oddball, both this season and as a playoff participant generally. Of it's 4 losses, one came to Oklahoma and the other a competitive game to NDSU. It beat three playoff teams, two of which were seeded in the playoffs ahead of it. It plays in the toughest conference in FCS...

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

So the theory would anti-trust. But anti-trust doesn't prohibit freedom of association, only unreasonable restraint of trade. If a group of conferences decides they are forming their own post season tournament, it doesn't prohibit the remaining conferences to do likewise. It would be...
