Maxy nailed it in an earlier post comparing Ijeboi and Taylor.....there may be an argument that Ijeboi is the better pure rusher of the two.....but as a receiving option out of the backfield it isn't even close.
DT's ability to catch the ball out of the backfield sets him apart from a lot of RB...
I think Kane Rob was being a little over the top calling Fame a freak athlete and predicting a Bucky Irving like rise for him.
He did a solid job filling in for Taylor but he never struck me as a game breaker the way Bucky showed flashes of being.
Would have liked to see him come back but not...
Turner was hurt early in the season...gotta think he will be 100% hopefully by spring ball but for sure by fall camp.
Not sure the Bucky Irving comparison from the tweet is quite warranted but Fame looked like a solid RB so sucks to see him decide to leave.
Notre Dame has a very passionate fan base that spans the country. I mean I don't know that anyone is literally losing sleep over it but Notre Dame expects special treatment in football whether they deserve it or not.
The BYU thing is interesting to me. I know the Big 12 is not viewed as a good football conference but the team had 1 regular season loss to top 5 Texas Tech and then lost to that same Texas Tech team in the conference championship game. And in spite of that they were seen as a complete...
I mean if you are going to pick a road trip destination for a Gopher game it probably makes sense to pick a city they will actually have a game in during that season. More fun then showing up at an empty stadium while the teams are playing in Minneapolis ;)
Feels like there is a flaw in that plan somewhere. Then again.....if you can punt......that does seem to be the position where some older players end up getting on the field.
I don't know if what is happening at Indiana is a once in a lifetime thing....but you can bet lots of schools are going to try and duplicate what they have done and chances are very high the vast majority are going to fail.
Kind of feels like the stars aligned and allowed them to pull off...
Says right in the thread title that he tells players it is not all business but there is a business piece too it.
College athletics has always had a business aspect to it but that has accelerated a massive amount in the last 15-20 years as TV contracts have gotten massive, coaching salaries...
Some of you don't want to hear it but it would take something like an 0-12/1-11 type season for Fleck to get fired after the 2026 season.
Would take at least two consecutive sub .500 Big Ten seasons for him to truly be on a hot seat without an off field scandal of some kind.
