Getting him back would make next year's team really dangerous.
Hopefully he's not in the big ten, would love it he went to play for Will the gangster Wades semi pro team, would have loved it more if he was at NC State, so he could stick it to the heelsCovered himself by putting name in the portal.
If he's allowed to play, it would be a shocker if he stays at Minnesota.
How many teams are sitting around with a guaranteed starting spot and a huge bag of unspent NIL $$ though?Covered himself by putting name in the portal.

Probably a lot more teams than we know. How many teams are sitting around with a guaranteed starting spot and a huge bag of unspent NIL $$ though?

Entering the portal prior to the lawsuit kind of indicates he's looking for a big paycheck. I am confused about the portal though. I always thought that when you graduate with eligibility you can look for a new team at any point or did the new portal rules change that. He’s definitely be a great addition, but I am betting he’s out of gophers budget as most of you have said.
Not sure why everyone thinks Cade would bail? He went to North Carolina for money and it was miserable for him.
He's got to pick the right spot unless all he cares about is money. I don't think places like Indiana or Louisville would be good for him. I hope he looks at that before he decides where or if to go somewhere. Not sure why everyone thinks Cade would bail? He went to North Carolina for money and it was miserable for him.
I agree unfortunately. Another year of college isn't likely to do a ton for his NBA prospects so while it isn't always about the money in this particular case he would be wise to take the biggest deal he can get.Cade's not likely going to stick in the NBA for long, if ever, so why try to make as much money as possible during his last year in college? That won't be here and there currently isn't a roster spot open.
I would love to be wrong and for Cade to come back though.
If we get acade back, biggg IF, but yeah Cade would fit in very well with Evans, Asuma, JCJ Kordel. Than Durkin becomes a super sub off the bench and With Grove, Groves and Palmer with Kai and Grady in the mix, that's 11 guys before we even get to the Freshmen. Nixon would be odd man out, out of the walkons Lorenson was much more impactful at EP than Nixon at Holy Angels. Nixon wasn't even Holy's best playerPlaying the "What if.." game. IF Cade is allowed another year, I'm not so sure he wouldn't come back to MN as the money required might "show up" and he would be a terrific fit. MN upside would be clearly improved. Nixon or Lorenson would be odd man out. Palmer/Groves/Grove/Grady/Shinholster/Anderson/Tomes all fighting for minutes. I am fairly sure Cade is well-liked by the current guys, like MN and Niko, and he played w/Evans at NC so the disruption of chemistry this summer may be minimal. Winning helps.
No sense getting hyped at this point, just see how it plays out. MN will be fine regardless.
Two of the current 15 are "practice players"/walk-ons. I'm sure they could work it out with one of them to be a manager etc. That said, I agree the transition would be flawless, but Niko doesn't seem like the type to hang one of his current roster spots out to dry.
I'm guessing that would be Nixon, dude missed most of his senior year and honestly Lorenson was a better player in high schoolTwo of the current 15 are "practice players"/walk-ons. I'm sure they could work it out with one of them to be a manager etc.
