Almost sounds like you are anointing Drake as the starter ;) If the kid wants to for sure start then yeah, I don't see us having any interest. If he is willing to go somewhere and potentially be the backup then it might make some sense.

Not really the NCAA's fault. Every time they try and challenge any of this they end up losing so their hands are tied and the stupidity expands to another level.

Wouldn't shock me to see us try and add a depth QB. Don't think we will be in market for anyone looking to be a starter but would be nice to have another QB on the roster in case we get bit by the injury bug.

I wouldn't get hung up on the numbers next to the names. Just nice to see 3 Gophers being viewed as some of the best in college football. No way to really accurately rank players 1-whatever in something like this when guys play different positions and against different competition levels.

I see this as a good sign that Pyron knew he wasn't going to be able to beat out Drake so he decided to go try and find playing time somewhere else. Pyron wasn't really brought in to be the starter in the way Brosmer was, he was brought in to provide depth and compete with the other guys...

In my opinion they are addressing a problem that isn't really a problem and only comes up a few times a year during those games where teams are trying to run their offense at warp speed. The clear downside to this is that it has the definite potential to cost a team a valuable second half...

From 2000 - 2019 we had roughly 30 players drafted into the NFL From 2020 - 2024 we had 15 guys drafted with another 4-5 likely to hear their name called this year as well. We are not likely to ever reach blue blood status in college football but we are far from a middling program as well...

In most things related to any sort of youth (pre-college) sports.....the adults are way worse then the kids. For the most part the kids just want to play. It is the adults that make it political and strip a lot of the fun out of it.
