Citrus Bowl STUDENT Travel Package NOW available. Very affordable

Great deal and definitely a ton of value there for the cost. That is still a crazy long time to spend on a bus though. Still if I was still a student I think I would be all over a deal like this.

Lol! I'm done trying to find cheaper options for fans...would love if the U was though!

Gopherhole could totally have set up a couple buses with their own package to the game. Probably could have made a tidy little profit on the deal without people breaking the bank to go. Opportunity probably missed for this year but someone should seriously consider it for next years bowl game.

I really don't think so. From my experience of trying to get a Sun Country Flight, if you don't have connections, it's not an easy thing to do. Btw, Sun Country quoted me at $220,000 which would be $1500 a person!

Quite an amazing deal. Still expensive for a student, though. Will have to think on this...

When you consider the game ticket, 2015 season ticket, 2 night lodging, and transportation...this is an insanely good deal

I completely agree with DL, fantastic deal...but when you're a student, that's a TON of money. I remember the only way I could get season hoops tickets is because I asked for it for Christmas. Great to know that you have your ticket for next year though, with this.

We should start a kickstarter fund for student GH'ers, then subsidize their trips to the game by dividing the kickstarter and distributing to the student GH'ers going on the trip

DO IT! Or do it for GopherHolers in general!!!

For students who can't quite get the scratch together for this deal, here's a thought: mom and/or dad, I know what I want for my Christmas present! In fact I'd say a combined birthday and Christmas deal.

It's funny, in college back in the 80's I'd be all over this deal and the bus ride would have been viewed as fun. I remember ski club bus rides to Utah that were great. I remember hours on end of playing card games. Now, in my older age that bus ride sounds dreadful!

If I wasn't going to California during the New Year I would snatch this up. Very bummed I can't take advantage of this.

If you think this is a bad financial decision, always remember "the worst decisions make the best stories". Done deal. 20 years from now you will claim you were there even if you weren't, so make the story real.
This!!
I am still talking about my 2002 hockey finals trip to buffalo like it was yesterday. All I had was a ticket a car and a best friend and we made it a weekend for the record books.

It's deals like this that make me wish I would have gone to grad school.

But then I remember that I'm getting paid now.

This is how I talked myself into enlisting back in 1998. After 8 deployments and 16 years in the military I would do it over again.

The football games seems like a bargain in comparison.

Is there a bus lined-up for 40 somethings who still consider themselves 20 somethings?

Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing and then I noticed it is pay day....

I really love that they include a season ticket for next year, very smart...good way to start filling up that student section early.

This is a great package and options for students. I wish they did a bus package for adults too, I bet they could fill up a few more!

If my 80+ year old dad could do the CSC trip to Stillwater OK (I think that was in 2012), I could do Orlando at 53.

Bump. They officially go on sale in about 35 minutes. Let's go students, scoop up those tickets. Ski-U-Mah!

The student travel package will go on sale Friday, December 12 at NOON CT. Looks great and very affordable for a student budget. And comes with a complimentary 2015 student football season ticket. Nice touch and great idea there. Also, it is a great idea that they are giving the 2014 football student season ticket holders, followed by 2014 student single game buyers initial priority to purchase before the general student population. Ski-U-Mah!

I mean, I agree the deal is undeniable. For the price, the value is outstanding. But either way, it's $300 up-front. Still mulling it over, but it seems more and more likely that I am doing this..l

There are some things in life that seem expensive, and they absolutely are given the context. But the experience you would be giving up may never come around like this again, and that is a greater cost than the money. This is one of those things. Since you're at least thinking about it, you probably can swing the $300 this time around and still make ends meet.

January 1st bowls are not guaranteed in the future. Have a blast. Remember it forever. I wish I could take advantage of this opportunity.

Do they need chaperones for this trip???

Student packages are sold out -they are taking names for a wait list.

In 10 minutes, they sold out!!!

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I think they need to add more buses if it took them 10 minutes to sell out.

I'm sure there's a complaint coming from a law student that wanted to purchase the travel package, but didn't want to be forced to purchase 2015 football season tickets.

I'm sure some openings will be forced by the Governor real soon.

Little Northern Illinois filled 29 buses when they went to the Orange Bowl.
The University needs to think larger!!

People who got logged in before me saw that there were only 80 spots available when they logged in. That seems ridiculous. I was planning on going with a bunch of friends and now we'll see who gets put where on the wait list. Hopefully they open up more spots.

I know it's an assumption, but 80 spots to me sounds like they had two buses reserved. Don't know how they thought two buses seemed like enough.

Buses weren't the issue. hotels were. Oklahoma/Clemson play two days earlier in same stadium...plus holiday vacationers.
