Who is your Gophers MVP in MASSIVE win over Nebraska?

Never thought I would say this on a big game but Mitch Leidner.

That pass to Maye just sealed it for me. That was his best game ever. That was no easy pass he had to make..

Gotta go with Leidner, who played an incredibly poised game and made a lot of very clutch plays. But Donnell Kirkwood deserves a huge mention. Coming in, getting a huge touchdown on 4th down, and taking care of the ball on that last series. Just huge.

Leidner and I don't think it's a very tough decision. Erratic passing as usual but hit some big ones and was the game's leading rusher. I also thought he was a really good team leader today in the way he held the offense together after losing Cobb. This team hasn't had to play without Cobb for any prior stretch of the season.

Agree 100%. He was great with his legs and connected on some passes in critical situations. His body language on the sideline was just different than in the other few games I've watched.

Has to be Boddy for me. He does not strip that ball I'm not sure we win. Leidner played a good second half, but not the whole game. So my vote goes to the biggest play of the game with the Boddy strip-interception.

I thought KJ Maye played unbelievably. But maybe I'm not remembering everything.

Leidner left some easy passes on the field, but he played as well as we can expect from him. I vote for the team as MVP this week.

Can't disagree with any of the above too much - but I'm going to say Damien Wilson today - 2 sacks and did enough to prevent a couple of potential big runs breaking into the open field.

Leidner had a terrific second half after being awful in the first. I never thought he was capable of that Maye pass. I'm giving it to Leidner.

I'm going to go with Mitch. He was a man today running the ball and made some really nice throws. He also missed a few, but that deep one to KJ Maye was a beaut. Shout out here to ML.

I thought the defense came to play today and generally tackled very well; the coverage sack by Cockran was a huge, huge momentum shifter and kept them from getting an easy first down and probably at least 3 points.

Honorable mention to Leidner who is growing into his role and Maye made some clutch plays after a shaky start to the season.

Believe!

It's hard to pick just one person.

How about the coaches? They continue to keep this team calm and cool even when we are down. That is such a big improvement over former teams.

Without BBC's big play, it probably would have been a TD, as the Nebraska player was falling backwards into the endzone.

And we would have been behind by with only a little over a minute to play. So my vote goes to BBC.

Not true due to the penalty on the receiver prior to the reception.

The Defense played lights out in the second half so I lean toward them. Leidner though truly led the team and made some big plays and a ton of smart plays.

The team this year has been the opposite of Gopher teams I've watched since 2002 when I started being a more serious fan. Tons of grit, and no quit in the 2nd half.

Would like to pick more than one of course, but it has to be Calhoun. We probably, and very likely, don't come back (with only 1 minute left in the game) and win the game if he doesn't make that amazing defensive play by stripping the ball from Pierson-El at the 2 yard line. So he gets my vote. Ski-U-Mah!

BBC- that ball strip might be play of the year! Leidner deserves a LOT of credit for the win. He hit a few big throws when we needed them and ran the ball very well. I still feel he failed too much in the 1st half and throwing the ball to give it to him.

Leidner.

He is good at everything--except all the things a really good QB is usually good at.

The receiver came from out of bounds to get that reception - wouldn't it have been a penalty either way? Agree that BBC got a huge turn-around with the defensive turnover. Would give the 2nd half defense as a whole the MVP. We were the more physical team, and definitely the more mentally tough team.

Ran with a purpose, was a leader of men and hit some big throws. I got no complaints today. He rose to the occasion second half.
