This kid is a is horsecrap player and needs to have a seat on the bench forever and never ever take one step onto the field again.....he is a big part in minnesota losing this game. I have seen high school kids play better than him.

EDIT: After watching a d2 game tonight and thinking what i posted on here....i have to admit i was mad we lost the game and have to take back this statement....he is a football player whom im sure puts forth 100 percent while playing but he needs to work on pass coverage. YES he is great vs the run, had some nice tackles vs. af a week ago but after watching the game again he really didnt have much help from anyone on some big pass plays.

Brewster talks about improved talent and recruiting...if you don't have someone better than Collado you have no business talking Rose Bowl

In all fairness he isn't the starter... he is playing for an injured Sherrels.

Beyond me...I would also like to see Gray get some of Weber's playing time

I think Weber has been looking better/good - when he has time. If only we had an Oline/RB/.

Collado made 2 very nice plays today. However, both were against the run. He's absolutely horrendous when it comes to coverage. I don't know why Cosgrove allowed such huge cushions today when half of their passes were screens. Run defense was horrible in the first half and great in the 2nd half. Pass defense sucked both halves. Would've liked to seen Carter out there after Collado was getting burned play after play. 3rd and 15 on their own 20 with the score 21 apiece and not only does Collado give his receiver a ton of space to make the catch, he also gets carried an additional 15 yards after reaching his man.

If you O-Line can't block anyone it can't hurt to have a more mobile QB in there. If I was a team I would not respect our run game at all...Gray might be our only legitmate run option it designed QB runs.

I have no opinion on your evaluation of Collado but why don't you all focus your attention on the people who are puting him on the field if he's so bad? Someone told Collado to come here and play, he works hard I'd guess, and they put him on the field. I suppose if you were in the same boat you'd just say I don't want to play, huh? Criticism is fine but direct it at the decision makers until he's making millions on Sunday.

You've been to practice everyday to see Carter and Gray, right? If you haven't, you have no idea if either one of them is ready.

OMG, I'm agreeing with Sid Hartman. Gray's scrambling ability would add another threat to the offense.

I don't need to go to practice everyday to see that Collado isn't not ready to play. Weber shouldn't still be making some of the same boneheaded mistakes either for that matter.

Like how Oregon runs there O. Well not this year....

Collado was the worst player on our team last year, and he has not improved. He may have actually gotten worse.

I'm fairly certain I made a thread about this after the first few games of last year on a different account after seeing him get burned up and down the field

Collado sucks but let's remember he was a Mason recruit. Carter should be in there! We miss Sherrels more than I thought.

A. I was pretty disappointed with Traye today, he looked very slow and very timid to contact out there...in the second half he did better but the first half he didn't even look like a draft caliber player when word is he wants to go early 3...i like his as a player but just was hoping he would've really stepped up today.

B. Where is Sherels? Hurt?

C. Carter will probably get some time late in the year, the kid needs to get his feet wet in special teams first.

The guy DID make some nice plays, and it pains me to hear fans calling out one guy--maybe 21 years old--on a message board after a game like that. I assume he does his best, he works hard, and is pursuing his studies along with his football. He has my respect and I hope all the guys learn from this loss.

You are all morons ripping on Collado......you have absolutely NO CLUE!!!!
How about getting some pressure on the qb on the long passes?
How about some safety help over the top (calling out to Royston and Theret???)

I think the Gophers played absolutely great.....but it was the OFFENSE that lost this game, not a cornerback that is out on an island all by himself (which makes an easy target and scapegoat).

More precisely, the o-line.

Rarely showed up to the classes I had with him, when he did just slept. Failed or close to it I think.

Real hard working type of guy.

You guys are absolutely ridiculous, Collado played as hard anyone and made some real nice plays, everyone who is so negative on here is ridiculous, it pisses me off, he's a college kid, and gives it his all every play, its his birthday today by the way too, any way you guys can rip on that too?

Collado made an error on that 3rd and 15, its a different ball game if that's not converted. I sure he would like to play that differently if he had another chance.

Your posts on this board convey the maturity of a 6 year-old. Congratulations. Way to uphold the standards of a proud institution.
