It would be cool if everyone posted their pics on a thread to feel what it will be like on game day!
too bad most students are not back to school yet. you can see that was really the only area in the stadium where there were open seats, which is understandable. no worries here. it will be rocking on sept. 12th
Yes. Although there were certainly a lot of open seats, for the most part the crowd was dispersed through the whole stadium except the student end. It was what I expected - maybe even a little better. I never thought 40,000 as some mentioned was very realistic. Fun time.
i have heard it was a number around 30,000 people in total (people actually in the stadium and those who didn't have tickets but were hanging out around the stadium/stadium village). definitely possible considering there were tons of people milling in and around the stadium all scrimmage long. unlike a real game you didn't have everyone sitting down at once (because many were checking out the new digs before/during/after the scrimmage) so just looking at picture of purely the crowd in the actual seats doesn't go justice to just how many people were there today - a lot!
I took about 200 photos so if I post them theyll all be on photobucket or something.
I would really appreciate that! I was in the BWCA all weekend and couldn't make the scrimmage, although I did catch some nice walleyes and northerns,
