Official "Bought first time seats, upgraded seats or parking, or added seats thread"

We are at the top of Zone 6 so got my call earlier today. Nothing available that is better than what we have in the non-donation sections on the home side so we stay in Sec 238 Row 11.

I'm in Zone 7 and got my call yesterday. We decided to move from 213 row 29 directly across to 238 row 23. Got to move down a bit, closer to the 50 (a bit), to the home side and into the shade for those hot Aug/Sep games. Will miss the sun for the chilly games, but I'll just buy thicker insulation layers. Thanks to all you sun lovers who opened up space on the home side!

Go Gophers!

We decided to move from 213 row 29 directly across to 238 row 23.

Being in row 23, you will stay out of the rain some. I sit in row 21 on the home side and people in row 20 were getting rained on pretty good during the NW game last year. We stayed dry.

Updated Upgrade Map, 150 & 152 are now closed:

The upgrade schedule still shows as being on zone 7, with no new anticipated start dates for zone 8, 9 & 10.

As expected, I'm not going anywhere. It seems as though I get an opportunity to move about once every 3 years or so and I just moved last year. No problem. I love my current seats. I am excited for the season.

Moved from 202 to 105. We'll give the lower level a shot.

Is anybody else surprised to see so much blacked out in the lower deck? I'd always assumed that there were open seats down there because of the required donation levels. It will be interesting to see where all the new ticket owners seats are.

We got the call yesterday. Sounds like lots of non-donation chairbacks available in 244, 243, 238 and 237, but you better be willing to climb. We are in benches in row 3, and liked that offer better then seatbacks in row 23...

Just moved to 237. Had to back up 7 rows from my bench seats but moved 2 sections over and got 4 chairback seats on the aisle . Surprised they were still available for Zone 8.

I just got the call from the Gopher Ticket Office. It came in as 612-301-1800. I was able to move the 4 seats to section 243. I'm pumped.

So stoked about our new seats as well. The problem is now, who do we decide to put at the higher seats and who the lower ones? ahah

Curious..Are you up pretty high? and did you request/get aisle?

We are in row 25. There is one block of 4 seats between us and the aisle. I like sitting in row 21+ on the home side upper deck because you have the roof to block rain/snow and suites/press box blocking the wind. Unless something drastic happens, I see us sitting in 243 for a long time and only looking to move down a couple rows.

I called the office on my day of my expected call and the employee informed me that I would need to wait for my call later in the day. I said 'how about we just proces it now?' 'Nope. '

Good Old U. It's like when we used to wait in line to register for classes at Williamson. 'I'm sorry complete this and get back in line.'

Good for them. Why should you get to jump all of the people in front of you?

I don't recall there being a time of day on the renew sched. BTW they called minutes later.

'Hi Ian."

just upgraded our seats to Section 207. It was a decision between 207 or 214. Closer to the beer garden or closer to the co-eds? We decided it'd be better to sit closer to the beer. We can take a stroll down the hall (against traffic) to check out the co-eds anytime.

Section 151 & 238 are now closed:

Looks like Zone 9 is now in progress. Not sure if it started today or yesterday.

238 is where I was wanting to move. I guess 237 will have to do...if it's available when they call. Anyone know if they are on schedule? In other words, is the 'anticipated date' the actual date or are they behind? Thanks.

I am surprised 207, 208, 213, 214, & 244 still have seats available. All are non-donation seat backs.

Is it just me or is it a little scary to think that there are so many sections with availability even AFTER the upgrade process is complete. There tons of sections with chairback seats avaialble. It is also interesting to note that although there seemed to be an exodus to the sunny side, there are actually more sections full on the cloudy side (although that doesn't count the club seats, which are sold differently).

I was very surprised to get tickets as a first year in 213, especially 4 in a row. Hopefully enough wins this year brings in more season ticket holders next season.

I decided to remain in 238 after checking on some other chair backs. Everything remaining was up in the last 2-3 rows. I can't handle the seats in the sun. It's just too damn hot in September and the glare off the turf has me squinting even with sunglasses on. Sat in 208 for games vs. USC and New Hampshire and had a splitting headache by halftime.
