Coaching Strategy Questions

Why play a 2-3 against a 3-point shooting team?

Why wait for the defense to come to you instead of attacking the zone offensively?

Why not play a 1-3-1 ourselves with our supposed "athleticism" - one that could put outside pressure on NU's shooters?

It is not too early to start the disappointing loss thread. The "Best Troll Award" to however starts it first.

Welch being our "best player" would explain why we won't make the tourney. Welch can score, but his ball handling is iffy at best, and his defense is worse.

We don't have a best player. Welch is the best player today. You never know who is going to show up with this club, we have a lot of guys that can do certain things well against certain teams. NO complete players.

At least he is out there playing with some heart. That can't be said for one of our other big men.
 




By my count (which may be off by a point or so) we are -16 with Ralph on the court. With EE, +8.
 

So..what seed do you think we will get in the nit projected. Im thinking a 3 or 4

could of got back to 6 if oceansucks didnt fhking elbow that guy!!! somebody needs to be ppunched in the face for their efforts.
 

They need to start calling that elbow above the shoulder foul more consistently.

We don't get steals. For a team that we claim is so athletic, and despite the vaunted Tubby deflection oriented defense we don't steal the ball much at all - when was the last time you saw a steal and a runout by the Gophers?
 





The Gophers should apologize to the members of the barnyard who made the trip all the way down there after this game. What a dud.
 

Either we're the dumbest team on the face of the earth or Carmody absolutely schooled Tubby today.
 


Rodney is more worried about tryign to get a dunk then helping his team. what a fhking joke.
 

There nothing wrong with losing to a bunch of nerds from NW by double digits when your season absolutely hangs in the balance. After all, this NW team is a powerhouse program
