@Ben_Jones88: Wisconsin coach Brett Bielema on Penn State scandal. "Guess it's a good time to be a Badger fan"

Class act.

If you go on twitter right now and search Brett Bielema the results are pretty hilarious. It's not just minnesotans who think he's a prick.

LOL @ "I hope the world eventually goes for two on Brett Bielema."

This should come as no surprise. And as much as I'm glad that "others" get the fact he's a complete @ss, I need no outside validation.

I think he's taken South Park's award of "Biggest Dou*he in the Universe" away from John Edward.

@Mengus22: If Minnesota beats Wisconsin, damn whatever MN paper doesn't run a "Bad Time To Be A Badger" headline.

Steals Halloween candy when it's not even Halloween while screaming "IT'S GREAT TO BE A BADGER!" #scumbagbret

@elevenwarriors "hey remember that earthquake in Haiti a few years ago? Good time to be a Badger!" #ScumbagBret

The dj whom he spoke to will be playing the clip a little later on. @trenni on Twitter.

You can't make up this kind of idiot. He is actually an above average to good coach. He is a below average to bad human.

I'd rather lose than win with beilema.

According to the reporter, Trenni Kusnierek, the exact quote from Bielema was: "I guess, during this time just enjoy & embrace being a Badger fan." As an answer to a question about Wisconsin, that is a fine response. However, as a response to a question about a horrible molestation scandal at a competing university, it's an asinine and idiotic answer. You da man, Burnt.

One thing I've learned from the PSU-thing this week is that there are a hell of a lot of insanely selfish pricks out there. So selfish, that they can even manage to pretend that they give a *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# about others. Even when the "others" we're talking about are kids who were victims of the worst imaginable crimes.

We just need a massive paradigm shift in how we appoint "leaders" in our society. If a person can't manage the approporiate gut-reation to something like this, they don't belong in a position of influence.

No handlers. No analysts. No press-release writers. This one is simple. And you either get it or you don't.

I just listened to Ms. Kusnierek play the sound bite on 620wtmj.com, and I can verify with 100% certainty that the above is exactly what he said. What a prick.

As a badger alum, now the BB has blown the season with a gift of a qb handed to him I hope the Gophers kick some BB butt Saturday. His Iowa education bubbles to the surface all the time.

This may have legs. It is a witch hunt right now. BB should have kept his mouth shut.

Neigbor's house burns down?
"Guess it's a good time to be a Badger fan"

Pass a 5-car pile-up?
"Guess it's a good time to be a Badger fan"

Hurricane wipes-out a coastal community?
"Guess it's a good time to be a Badger fan"

Shouldn't you be praying for the children instead of wasting your time on this? Wait till I tweet that GopherInPittsbugh stops his prayers for the children to make political points about a hated rival. That's just sick. Why do you hate children so much?

I mean, how hard is it to say, "I just pray for those children involved."

In a nutshell, +1. Great post.

After reading the Penn State alumni facebook page, I'm too ticked at certain Penn State fans to care about Bielema.

I don't think "GopherinPittsbugh" was asked about what he thought about the Penn St. scandal. If you can't see the difference in this and Bielema's response to a direct question about the scandal, you're lost.

I was indirectly questioning Bielema. From a PR standpoint, he needs to avoid polishing the Badgers and show sympathy. As for me, I pray the victims are able to recover and live normal lives.

Oh, Brett, Brett, Brett....I think that Madison (having lived there in grad school), Columbus and Happy Valley have the common link of being the big show in town. PSU is what makes Happy Valley tick, so they are gods there. There's very little perspective and challenge from the outside to require them to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Wisconsin coach Brett Bielema on Penn State scandal. "Guess it's a good time to be a Badger fan"

No surprise here. Just consider the source.

Not a surprise but I am wondering why anyone would be a Badger fan. Be careful what you wish for Brett.

Why would any parent allow their son to play for this jerk?
