Update on East River Flats Tailgating

I have not checked it out, but I am also curious if anyone here can give us intel on the flats.

Got an email from MPLS parks board today stating they will not be allowing tailgating at east River flats this year.
Big bummer, was only tailgating spot we had with open grass space

Bummer. I loved tailgating there. I'm not a fan of the fairgrounds.

I'll always think of one of the few Sid ideas that kinda jived for me, the idea of a shared gopher / vikings football stadium to replace the state fair grandstand.

The fair grounds before gameday could be so great.

But I also get all the complications, and I do really like the bank ... so maybe fine long run but man ... that was some potential synergy.

The State Fair would never, never allow it. Plus they have so much power. I'm surprised they haven't gotten the State legislators to pass a state law where every business has to close those 10 days and force employees to go to the fair.
