All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Brooks Lee backs up a step to -0.2 WAR.

After falling back to -0.5, a big game last night got him back to -0.1 entering today.

Homered tonight. It might be...it could be...

This is becoming a favorite of mine

First thing I thought about now that he also doubled in the 9th

So the hot topic online and in the baseball media is how the Dodgers don't have to count Ohtani against their 13 pitcher limit. What's everyone's thoughts?

My opinion, they need to decide if he's one player or two players. In 2022, they said he can remain in as DH even after being taken out of the game as the starting pitcher, essentially making him two different players in the game. But then for the roster he is treated as one player (batter). Draw a line in the sand, either he is one player or two. And whatever is decided, apply both rules based on that.

He’s playing two different positions.

My Douglas County math says that’s dos, not uno.

It's time to call up Rodriguez and Culpepper and demote Wallner and Outman. Move Keashall to 1st and Lee to 2nd. That improves the defense at SS and 2B and maybe even at 1st.

Also make Martin the everyday LF and leadoff hitter. Move Buxton to 5th or 6th.

Outman is out of options but largely agree. Except for moving Buxton down. He should and will) stay at the top of the lineup.

Boston doesn’t chime in @BleedGopher, there ain’t no chiming in Beantown.

Boston Red Sox fire manager Alex Cora after 10-17 start to season

The Boston Red Sox fired manager Alex Cora on Saturday, the team announced, as the team’s 17-1 win against the Baltimore Orioles wasn’t enough to dissuade the club from making massive changes after a 10-17 start.

The Red Sox also parted ways with hitting coach Peter Fatse, bench coach Rámon Vazquez and third-base coach Kyle Hudson. Game-planning coach Jason Varitek has been reassigned to a new role within the organization.

Who cares? If someone claims him, which is unlikely, there's nothing of value lost.

Buxton has been a too much of a two outcome hitter all season. HR or strikeout. His OBP is pretty bad. No reason for him to stay batting lead-off. Put Martin and Keashall in the top two spots.

My confidence would be shattered if I got pulled in the 3rd inning to have someone else come in to face Outman

These are the batting averages of the 9 starters today:

.253 Lee
.241 Larnach
.234 Bell
.269 Jeffers
.175 Clemens
.208 Keaschell
.175 Wallner
.196 Lewis
.115 Outman

Absolutely f------g pathetic

Fan victim hood 🤣🥸

It's why I don't watch.
Partial or full baseball games I've watched this year thus far:

Twins - 0
Saints - 3

Our future players are far more enjoyable to watch than our current ones.

1-9 in the last ten games says all you need to know about the Twins. Gonna be a long, frustrating season.

Come on man. They were in first for a day. It could happen again. Just not this year 😎

Until they get to the majors and then they stink.

It feels like usually when they debut they show what got them there in the first place.

After a flash, the league then figures them out and readjustments never happen.
Keaschell hopefully figures it out, now thst they have a book on him/know where his holes are.
Or injuries.

Or both.
