Gopher-centric Portal Short List

I just surfed the Iowa boards and some think Evans will be Golden.. It appears that the Hogeyes are pushing hard for guard TyReek Coleman and big Andrew McKeever. Nebraska and Cincinnatti appear to be the main competition.
I am 50/50 on Evans being a Gopher. He has his warts and some plus's and is a one year and done guy.
Yup, so far we have landed Winters Grady at 2.9 ppg and Nolan Groves at 0.9 ppg. Now if we can add Evans we will double our incoming points per game in the portal...he's at 4.0 ppg.
We just added 7-2 Kordel at 1.2 ppg. All good!

Having said that...there is a chance depending who else we add....these 3 guys could be our leading scorers next year. Seems logical one of them will be.

Grayson Grove may have his minutes cut and is mostly a loose ball scorer. Durkin probably won't get enough shots. Asuma may play less as well, if we have those 3 guys. Leaves JCJ...he's not shy...I'd say it's him or one of the three new guards...and likely Winters Grady...he's in the Cade Tyson role in my projections.

Hopefully, we add Evans. I like these 3 guys. Definitely potential to be excellent additions. All three have the ability to score. Winters Grady and Nolan Groves have experienced the mindset of 30 ppg scorers. Nolan Groves and Winters Grady

You know, back this up 3 years or so and we have the best recruiting class in the country. It's just nobody does it like this anymore. We got 3 highly rated freshmen recruits with a year of college under their belts.

All that and we'd still kick St Thomas rear.

Wow.

You beat me to it!! I saw his post, celebrated and thought "lol my post aged poorly very quickly" 😂

Still thinks he looked disinterested, but glad I misread?
If I'm being honest, I thought the same thing.

I think this means we are kyans landing spot
Of course it makes sense but this is us we’re talking about. I’ll go full Minnesota and assume a disaster and be pleased if I’m wrong, and remind everyone that my killjoy attitude was right all along if I turnout to be correct. There really is no predictable pattern in the portal though.

After this news, I think the fact that Kyan hasn't already committed to Niko means he is still shopping for a bigger bag. Let him shop while we target someone else with our remaining NIL.

I have to admit that I don't understand the collective desire and angst over the plans of a guy who has topped out at 10.6 pts per game and a Player Efficiency Rating of 15.3 (about average) in his career so far. What I think must be driving this is that so many people here watched that NCAA tournament game against Memphis where he scored 23 points. The thing is that was one of only two games where he scored over 20 points that season. Tyson had fifteen 20+ point games this past season.
