All Things 2025-2026 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Ha! I stopped watching with at about the 3:30 mark to go to sleep.
Man oh man, I missed a lot of action.
This is exactly when I gave up on the game too.

Then I checked the score this morning and they won? WTF
I'm OOT so I was streaming it. When they got down by 13 I was totally pissed so I shut it off and started doing other stuff. Pissed at the wolves, pissed at Scott Foster for making himself the center of attention as usual, pissed at Julius for dragging the team down with his ball hogging ways. A few minutes later I got a text from a friend at Target, "Fantastic Game!!"

Most of all, I'm pissed at myself for missing a fantastic comeback.
Are you guys still accepting club membership applications? I'd be willing to bring the doughnuts every other week.

I also turned off the game down 12 in OT and woke up this morning seeing a headline that we won and figured it was a misprint. No Ant, Ayo and Jaden get hurt, Rudy fouls out and Naz gets ejected so Scott Foster can get some TV time. Crazy stuff.

Whatever dirt Foster has on the NBA to still be refereeing must be some nasty business.

Sad that some of you are bad fans and quit on the team instead of sticking it out through the end.

Disclaimer: I'd have turned it off and given up too, but I was so ticked off at that point that there was no way I was falling asleep any time soon, so I just sat there and stewed.

I kept watching. But it was a late game, especially for those at the game on a weeknight

I turned it off when they got down right away in OT to get ready for bed. Got in bed and decided to check to see how it was going then watched the rest.

I watched the highlights on YouTube. Almost every comment was about beating Scott Foster and not Houston.

Showing Edwards and McDaniel out for tomorrow’s game, with Ayo questionable.
(Was certain after watching Edwards go so far as to get on the court to argue, that he would be back for the Detroit game.)

Naz Reid fined $50,000 for what he said that got him ejected vs. Houston, the league announces.

Report in advance of tomorrow afternoon’s game vs. Detroit Pistons:

QUESTIONABLE
Dosunmu- Right Calf Soreness

OUT
Edwards- Right Knee Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
McDaniels- Right Knee Soreness
Freeman- Two-Way
Pullin- Two-Way
Zikarsky- Two-Way

I wonder if they are just being cautious because they're locked somewhere in the 3-6 range and don't seem concerned with who and where they get matched up with.

I've been looking at going to today's game, but prices are sky high everywhere. Finally figured out that's likely due to an Ant bobblehead giveaway.

I think Edwards can miss one more game and still be eligible for post season awards.

Houtson on the road at New Orleans. A win today puts them even with the Wolves.

Denver at home today against Golden State. A win puts them 2 games up on the Wolves.

I'm kind of hoping we finish 6th. There's no chance we could play HOU in the 1st Round and I think our best matchup after them is the Lakers.

I'm starting to believe that maybe the Spurs aren't a year away from contending and could win it all this season. What Wemby is doing on both ends of the court is crazy stuff.

Be surprised if the West doesn’t eventually come down to OKC and SA, which could be a great series.
Fricking OKC is so deep, but how many is Mark Diagonal going to run out there in playoff time?
In the East, is Cunningham going to return? Also, I really liked that addition of Vucevic to Boston and his return could still be a long ways off.
The East could be some evenly matched series.
The more a person thinks about it, who is healthy and who is not is such a determining factor.

I'm starting to like my CHA long-shot bet more and more, but like you, I'm leaning towards BOS. Brown has been great, Tatum is back, the Vukevic trade was a great pairing with Queta and Derrick White has been the best player in the NBA this season that nobody talks about.

I really can’t say I’ve paid attention to Charlotte at all in the East. Mostly Detroit (because of Bickerstaff and their defense), Boston (because of Brown and White and was hoping for the return of Tatum), Knicks (because the games always seem to have something extra at MSG), Cleveland (because of liking Donovan Mitchell and that addition of Harden). So just those top 4 in the East.

We will be destroyed by the Lakers.

Last years games were tough against them in the playoffs, but they had absolutely nothing inside. NOTHING...........Gobert feasted on them.

This year Ayton has feasted on Gobert. I say the Lakers are the last team I want to see us play. The lakers are much better inside this year.

rudy went for
game 1: 2 pts, 6 boards
game 2: 6 points, 6 boards
game 3: 1 point, 3 boards
game 4: 5 points, 10 boards
game 5 (which is what I assume you're remembering): 27 points 24 boards

The wolves got games from everyone to beat LA. Game 1 was Naz and Jaden (48 pts), game 2 we lost. Game 3 was Jaden and Julius (52 pts). Game 4 was Ant going off for 43. Game 5 was Rudy.

LA just didn't match up well with us. This year they still have Luka but Lebron is falling apart. Of the 1st round matchups aside from Houston, I'd take LA over Denver or San Antonio.

we played LA twice in the first 5 games. the only other recent one,Ayton was fine with 14 and 7, but Reaves and Luka had 62

What about Atlanta over in the East? 16-3 in the last 19
Have a game at home with Boston tonight.

Jalen Johnson is a budding superstar and Okongwu is really developing. Of course, watching them also reminds me that we chose Conley and Dilly over NAW. I'm convinced the Wolves would have 5-7 more wins this year with him on our roster.

Some bad news for the Timberwolves: Jaden McDaniels is considered “week to week” because of a bone bruise and left knee tendinopathy, the team says in a release

Just get that man healthy. I think the end of the Rockets game after he got hurt and missing the pistons game showed how important he is
