Minnesota Golden Gophers in the NFL - 2025

Sorry to see Mafe leave the Seahawks, but I’m very happy he landed a nice contract. He should also get plenty of playing time with the Bengals.

"Hate" the team, but like the deal he got. Hopefully he'll get a pension as well?
He has 5 years under his belt so he is more then qualified for the pension. Glad he is still getting paid, bummer it will be by the Packers but at least he is still in the league.

Maybe not the greatest team switch going from a team that made the Super Bowl.....to the Cardinals.....but hey, as long as he can keep earning a paycheck in the NFL it is a great thing!

PJ's guys have gotten some healthy second contracts: Mafe, Winfield, Faalele, Bateman, Cashman have all done nicely and are young enough to potentially get another bite at the apple, especially Winfield.
Yeah, Cashman's contract runs through 2026, so I think he definitely gets another deal. Really, all of them should get another deal if they stay healthy and productive.

Sure would like to see Tyler Johnson get a chance with a team that figures out how to use him. Could be great 3rd option out of the slot for a couple catches a game.

I see the Vikings just resigned Wentz. With Murray, Wentz and JJ in the mix things don't look great for Brosmer. That said, I wonder if signing Wentz means they will try and find someone who will trade for JJ and role with Murray and Wentz as starter and backup with someone like Brosmer as 3rd string/emergency QB.

Will be interesting to see if Max is able to stick in the NFL.

Max will be practice squad.

With how he looked last year in training camp and preseason, I think there was doubt whether he'd clear waivers to make the PS last year.

After how he looked in actual games, I don't think there will be the same fear this year lol. (Not saying he can't develop still but he definitely has a lot of work to do)
