A week or so ago Medved stated in an interview, NET is what is used to determine the Crown, Northwestern moved ahead of the Gophers after the B1G tourney, so they are about 4th in the pecking order as formerlybis stated in his post.I have no idea what the criteria are, but MN's only metric in their favor is the conference standings. The efficiency metrics like Torvik/kempom/NET have them as the 4th best or worse of the non-NCAA teams, and the results-based metric of Wins Above Bubble is also not in the Gophs' favor - those losses to MD, PSU, and Rutgers killed their WAB.
WAB was extremely predictive for at-larges getting into the NCAAs this year.
