save gopher and Adam Kelly

Couple things I find interesting:

1. I find it interesting that Save Gopher Football group no longer has links to show who are members of their group, but they have they are quite willing to post university staff emails.

2. I am a friend with a player from the early 80's who was part of this group and has links to Adam Kelly's facebook page. It appears to me that Adam was and this group was formed mainly to hire Mike Leach. Adam has made on-line petitions for the Goph's to hire Leach.

3. Its obvious that this is just a big whiner who was doing his best (including sabotage) to get his guy hired. Unsure of his motives, but I can't believe he acting purely in the best interest of Gopher sports (and no, I am not in supporter of Maturi).

Last week I had sent an email to Info@SaveGopherFootball and the response I got within 10 minutes was...

"Adam Kelly is not a spokesman nor representative of our group, than you"

Incomplete sentence aside, I think its pretty clear that this guy didn't speak for anyone.

Adam Kelly and the entire SGF group can all go sit on a tack. Kelly comes across as a goofball and a geek and a pretentious arsewipe, and what he did was pretty much unconscionable. All it was was a severely misguided attempt to gain some kind of power and 'say' in the process, and in attempting to undermine Maturi like that they've proven themselves as being even worse than their intended target, and honestly they have done the program and all its fans a serious disservice.

It's upsetting to me to think about this topic and this entire episode, so I will be happy and grateful when Adam Kelly and the Save Gopher Football recede back into the obscurity to which they rightfully belong.

I rarely feel compelled enough to post, but I'd buy a shirt that says "Adam Kelly Sucks". It's self involved moron's like him that lead us off campus.

The guy should be up for proposterious statement of the year for his comment about being Leach's friend. Leach and him are so chummy that I bet all of Leach's insurance will be with Kelly shortly.

Creating the rumor that Chris Petersen was coming so as to make Maturi look bad & disappoint the fans once Kill was announced...a little misguided?

The only bad intentions seem to be that Maturi should not be the face of Gopher Athletics. Read the good interview by GH and see he is still supporting Gopher Football. Not saying he went about it in a good way, but I do think his heart was in the right place. And if he believes in his business as whole heartedly, he is probably a good agent for his clients.
