Who's going to be the jersey sponsor?

We should all chip in money to get GopherHole on there and then each season we vote who's face will be used for the sponsorship logo.

I hear there's a couple Somalian daycares that could definitely be a jersey sponsor because they have $9 billion of unused money.

PS, I am just having some fun and making a joke. I think no matter what side of the spectrum you were on, you can laugh a Little at this.

I wonder if Cub foods will play into this.

Mayo Clinic is pretty protective of their brand. Advertising with a women's adult professional league is probably safer than going with a league that has boys out of high school and more prone to "mischief".

The last thing Mayo wants to be associated with is another Gangelhoff Gate or some of the other shenanigans our Gophers have gotten in to in the past.

Not much of a joke. You are not a comedian, but you are a clown

Outdoor recreation companies? We have several in MN

Polaris - They already sponsor a gate at USBS but why not anything with the Gophers? They could use Saturdays at the Bank to display various products like Snowmobiles and ATVs

ArticCat - Same idea as Polaris but they are still coming out of being reborn this past year so not sure they are quite ready for corporate sponsorship yet

Lund/Alumacraft/Crestliner Boats - All MN based companies that could play off the "Row the Boat" and also use the stadium for product placement during the season

Other 500 Companies

Land O Lakes - Though I think they have already put money towards the program

Fastenal - Could be some interesting ways to weave them in I'd think

Hormel Foods - Could be a real interesting one especially when we play Iowa for Floyd

Ecolab - Could see something along the lines of keeping the place clean with their variety of products

C.H Robinson Worldwide - Logistical Company - could be hit up to transport or sponsor road trips and moving the gear and equipment

Toro - Product placement around the stadium - snow sweepers, sadly we don't have real grass so the mower idea is out

Winnebago - Someone already mentioned that but why not?

Several other major financial companies in town - Ameriprise / Thrivent / Securian Ect - just not sure if that would be a CoI with Huntington Bank though

Of course Target / Best Buy / 3M (already with Mariucci) / CHS / all could be sponsors in someway

Just sad that we have a large number of these major companies and getting them to be supportive is like pulling teeth. Thought I do understand they have to be responsive to their shareholders ect but its time we get more of them on the boat lets go!

Most people see clowns as comedians. I hope things get better in your life when you can actually laugh a little bit on a message board about a football team we all cheer for..

Any laughing is at you....not with you.

I've always thought Land O' Lakes would make a good Gopher sponsor. I realize they already are but don't have their name on the big things.

Of all the Minnesotan brand names it feels the most congruent, like it would be natural for the Minnesota team to have 'Land O' Lakes' on the rear bumper of the helmet even if it wasn't a corporate sponsor.

If the Gophers played in 'Land O' Lakes Stadium' it would sound like it could be what the people named it.

In fairness, Land O' Lakes granted the Gophers $25 million for naming rights to part of the Athletes Village, which is called the Land O' Lakes Center for Excellence (although no one ever really calls it that.)

And, I think their support of Gopher athletics dropped significantly when the new CEO (an Iowa State grad) assumed the helm 6 or 7 years ago.
