Fleck Announces Changes, Additions to Coaching Staff, Limegrover is Back!

he shouldnt for how stupid ass kill was to make him OC.... i will never forget limgrover interview and he admitted he is uncomfortable and really does not like being OC
I think you may have misremembered.

Limegrover was Kill's OC since 2001. He was the OC at Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois, and then Minnesota. Those offenses were considered innovative at the time (power running out of the spread formation). If Limey was not comfortable being OC, he was uncomfortable for about a decade and at two previous stops.

That’s the development part. About a 6 to 1 ratio on the OL. After last year I’m really pump about this group. 4 returning starters, a nice portal pick up and young talent. An experienced coach to help out.
Not sure I agree it's a good idea to have two guys who are/have been "head" OL coaches, in the same room.

What happens when Callahan and Limegrover have a disagreement over how to teach a particular technique or which player should start?

Why wasn't Callahan fired?

The Vikings (de facto) fired their OL coach. They didn't keep him on and then hire another OL coach.

What could make sense is to split the room into two separate rooms. Tackles in one room and interior in another room. Each coach the "head" position coach of each room.

"But they have to communicate with each other on who to block!"

so do Tackles and Tight Ends, all the time. They aren't in the same room. Not that different

But I doubt that's what's going to happen.

Umm, they talk about it in private and Callahan has the final say, but they all report up to Harbaugh anyway. Its not complicated.

It is if you don't spend any time thinking about a question before you ask it...

Or if you are just looking for a reason to be negative ;)

I love having Limey back. I thought he was totally great with fans. The Kill staff in generally was pretty accessible. It was as if they actually liked us. He will definitely be an asset to this program.
