Matt Simon has been let go

Don’t like to see guys lose their job but that’s good news. Let’s hope we get a coach that can actually help the WR’s 😭

Interesting, I thought he was a bigger problem three years ago. His room was definitely a rollercoaster with the historic 2019 year with the two first team all big receivers to it being downright awful in 2021 and 2022. Lot of guys departed that room that never really materialized and while it's a numbers game and some of that is to be expected I imagine that was a factor in this decision. Hopefully we can get some guys who can go up and get contested balls

I wonder if the new RB or WR will get the co-OC title? It may allow them to shoot for a bigger fish as a replacement.

Just my opinion but the WRs have been pretty bad the past 5 years in a row, outside of DJ.

Seems to me like the play caller “his boss” could be axed next.

Is anyone else reading in the tea leaves that Fleck is feeling pressure and and a sense of urgency? I feel like the Indiana experience is demonstrating, for the world to see, that elevating a moribund program to conference title contention doesn't have to take decades.

He’s changing his best.

He hasn't been given the best clay lately, but he surely hasn't done a very good job molding the clay on-hand.

Bring in Morgan to coach the WR’s he’s awesome on the pre game stuff and would be a great recruiter and a QB who played six years in the system could surely coach the WR group. Pair them up with Mo at RB and we’ll have the whole gang back together. As long as I don’t have to watch 55 and 2 on the field it’s all good. They’ll all be cheap so we could upgrade at the coordinator positions if so inclined.

And get some separation from the defense.

I actually don't like the "co" stuff.
I don’t either in practice
I don’t mind it if it makes a guy get something on his resume that he wants.

But in practice there has to be a chain of command that’s clear

So I don’t like it if they’re actually doing it. But if it’s co in name only I don’t really care

Twitter rumors say Isaac Fruechte being hired?
Is this an upgrade? The best we can do?
Been an offensive coordinator for last 6 years and has done a pretty decent job at North Dakota for the last 2. Also familiar with the area and program (including it's limitations). I like it.
