All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

I like the Rose Bowl, it isn't fancy, it doesn't have a ton of lights and crap.

It's just a big bowl with fans, no levels of suites and such.

It feels like a place football should be played, more than whatever fancy place will supplant it one day...
I think the city of Pasadena runs the whole event. Unless it signs off on moving it to SoFi or there are plans to replace the Rose Bowl, I don't see them moving the game soon.

Portland has a beautiful rose parade it goes back ages. We had 8mm movies of family. Rose city! Imma go look for those.

It's a big, expensive to maintain structure if it exists solely for one event per year.

I'm talking about UCLA's plans to move to SoFi.

ND could not beat BYU twice to make it to the playoff. What is their bitch? A win over Pitt and a couple of close loses are a good enough portfolio to be in over tech?

Bad loss by TT worse than two close losses to playoff teams in the first few weeks of the season with a team decimated by draft losses.

Tech definitely deserved to be in. Thought their defense was terrific today. Offensively, not so much.

Channeling Brad Pitt if they’re good at defense why didn’t they defense good.

OK, their run stuffers are pretty good. I’ll give them that.

Wow! For all of the bitching we do about our coordinators, the elites also can come up with some head-shaking plays and strategy. 4th down in their territory and you run that play?

I thought Indiana's weakness on D would be the run game without their top DL. Not so far...at all.

Ttu won the b12. In what world are they not getting in as one of the highest rated conf champs? Or have people forgotten selection criteria?

You’re right, but did the ranking make sense. Best versus most deserving versus whatever the committee makes up for their metrics that week.

That bad loss was to an ok, 8 win team, and TT was without their QB, starting a true freshman in that game

Hmmm, ok. But their starter ain’t that great as we say today.

How many teams can make arguments about XYZ being out. Does Indiana get a mulligan for the best defensive player being out.

First time watching Indiana. I definitely am not looking forward to our Gophers playing them. Offense, defense, special teams, and tackling and speed, and…, and…
