It’s Official; Gophers play New Mexico in Rate Bowl

LOL. I hope your woke ass loves butt fucking and high taxes as you will get a lot of it in liberal.ass America Somalis. LOL.

The best part is when your daughter gets raped by an illegal immigrant.or Somalian in Minnesota, they won't go to jail but instead get federal funding.
MAGAts.
A low point in the American Experiment.

Actually, the stock market is flourishing and I have never been happier about Roth IRA or my 401k.

But hey, keep paying in taxes so you can support all the illegal Somalian tax fraud.

Oh, and PS, I didn't vote for Trump. I voted for the independent candidate like I do every single time. Maybe next time it will change as the left has gone so far left. I need to go right. You guys are f****** batshit crazy

I respect that philosophy but...if I'm spending a grand for a bowl trip then I'll save a quick $100 on the ticket and just get in however possible.

Outback and Citrus Bowls were different since we had great seasons and huge turnouts, went through the U on those occasions.
Check out what the Vegas packages are if you’re complaining about Phoenix. NYE game on the strip not cheap.

But Rate Bowl is played in Chase Field. Not a great venue at all for football. Was there back when we played WVU. I live here and will go but for those of you thinking oh its Phoenix and great weather, yes. That is true. But the venue sucks. Would’ve much rather gone to Vegas.

Someone needs a timeout.

I'd be embarassed to get that triggered on an anonymous board.

I hate this. They should play at Sun Devil stadium at the very least. Playing in a terrible ballpark is stupid.

Cowardly backs out? The players voted not to play. The coach is gone. The roster depleted. Players are sitting out these meaningless games more and more. Lots of social media noting the bowl system is dead, and all the opt outs are accelerating it.
Players will play if they get a slice. That simple. Throw em a couple bones, watch em come

Also, I pretty strongly disagree with the players being allowed to vote to decide that they don't want to play a game that is on their schedule.

Should players be allowed to vote that they don't want to play in the conference championship game, because they think they'll lose anyway and don't want to risk injury?

Question: WTF is Rate?

I get that Bowls with names like Bad Boy Mowers Bowl seem too long for some. However, this seems like going the other way.

The Rate Bowl gets its name from its title sponsor, the mortgage lending company Guaranteed Rate (now just "Rate"). The game was previously known as the Guaranteed Rate Bowl from 2020 until October 2024, when the sponsor rebranded its company name to "Rate," leading to the shortened "Rate Bowl" name.

For thw 2-3 posters in this thread determined to argue about politics.....there is a direct messaging feature you guys can use to yell at each other as much as you want without subjecting the rest of us to it.

This board is for sports.....keep the political BS out of here.

Or can teams opt out of the conference championship because it might hurt their chances of making the CFP?

Nothing like some overt racism to add to the discussion. But hey......got to attack minorities when a poster makes an off-color comment about dear leader, huh?

In theory, the practices would help but did you find anything in this year‘s performance that would say last year‘s bowl game practices helped either our players or coaches? Probably not. I will say that if we get to see young players more, I’m all for that.
Agreed. All the reps Drake got in last year's bowl game, even though they were depleted made a huge difference this year.

I get it. He started with the Trump comment. I am so fucking sick of the far left woke left doing this. He deletes his shit, I deleted mine.

Until then, fuck him and his fake news TDS shit.
Nah I am gonna leave it up. Like the person you voted for you have a thing for raping children, so might as well let everyone know. cHOMO

Can't even guarantee the rates anymore. Only guarantee is that the field conditions for the game will suck as usual.

You can't point to a Big Ten document backing you up.

I say, when Big Ten has enough teams to fill the Pinstripe, Rate, and Detroit bowls, they treat all those last three teams the same.

You cannot disprove this.

If they don't have enough teams for all of those, then that's not an equivalent situation.
@Some guy

here's the hypothetical that would prove it.

Say that we have exactly the standings we have this year. Now say that, for whatever [make up a reason], the Rate and Detroit bowls were cancelled. Couldn't secure the venue, doesn't matter.

So that means the last bowl slot to fill is the Pinstripe, and you have Minnesota 5-4 7-5, Northwestern 4-5 6-6, and Penn State 3-6 6-6 left as bowl eligible teams.

Minnesota would get the Pinstripe. NW and PSU would have to go to non-Big Ten bowls.

That proves it.

What did I say that was racist ?

You want facts...

Well for one you lumped a whole group of people based on the actions of a few. The irony is you voted for a cHOMO who has 34 fraud convictions of his own and you approve of raping children. Sooooooo

What's that have to do with it? That's not the sponsoring organization's fault that we don't travel not any concern of there's as to why.
Might explain why Nebraska fans are more likely to spend their sports dollars on the Huskers than Minnesota fans are likely to spend on Gophers. You dint agree?

Bernie Sanders?

Arizona is a great destination but a baseball venue is not. I was at Wrigley and it was fun and interesting but the site lines are terrible. Usually the field is not in that great of shape either. At least we get those extra practices.

Call me crazy, but let's assume your hypothetical is true......didn't you just construct the exact argument that would prove that Penn State did indeed jump us? Is that what you're trying to prove? Or, disprove?

Each fan base has to submit selfies and the one RATEd cutest gets the payout, football game is a plus.
