I stayed up until 2 am last year watching the Gophers beat the Hokies on tape delay and PJ getting a mayo bath from Flava Flav (I never thought I would actually be able to claim that last part) because I had to coach a basketball game.

This year, I plan on being buzzed by 2 pm the day after Christmas and watching the Gophers play football live. I'll take it.

I always purchase bowl tickets (and road tickets) through the U to ensure they get credit for selling their allotment. Have never had bad bowl seats. Want to do my small part in stopping the MN doesn't travel well commentary.

I respect that philosophy but...if I'm spending a grand for a bowl trip then I'll save a quick $100 on the ticket and just get in however possible.

Outback and Citrus Bowls were different since we had great seasons and huge turnouts, went through the U on those occasions.

Detroit was the worst case scenario for MN, but this is a very close second.

The potential werewolf factor with the Lobos should not be an issue for this one as the moon will be waxing crescent at 38% illumination for the game. However, the crescent moon will have risen by gametime so there might be a little performance boost on their side.
