Fully admit Pinstripe at $4.4M is a much better payout.

Not sure playing Clemson is a "better" matchup than Iowa State in the Rate, if ISU doesn't cowardly back out.

Now I see why you're saying Penn State "jumped" us, but again I don't think I agree with that.


Personally speaking only for myself ... outdoors in NYC in December is not a good thing. Sorry brotha!

It does very much matter to the conference.

Ie. if the Big Ten were short on bowl teams and had to choose to fill the Pinstripe, Rate, or Detroit bowls, they would sent the last team to the Pinstripe.


But that said, if we have enough teams for all those bowls ... pretty sure the conference considers those last three teams to be one single pool of equals and works with the bowls to send the three teams to the three bowls in a manner that makes the most mutual sense for everyone.
 

Am I the only one a little nervous that this might be a trap game and we get our asses handed to us ???

I always purchase bowl tickets (and road tickets) through the U to ensure they get credit for selling their allotment. Have never had bad bowl seats. Want to do my small part in stopping the MN doesn't travel well commentary.

Alas I’m no longer actually a ScottsdaleGopher, but can confirm PHX is great this time of year. If you do choose to hike, for the love of God, pack accordingly. They have to airlift ill-prepared tourists off Camelback all the time, regardless of the time of year.

You can't point to a Big Ten document backing you up.

I say, when Big Ten has enough teams to fill the Pinstripe, Rate, and Detroit bowls, they treat all those last three teams the same.

You cannot disprove this.


If they don't have enough teams for all of those, then that's not an equivalent situation.

I think we have to assume that they are a pretty good team. They won at UCLA 35-10. I don't think the Gophers would have beaten them any worse. They lost to Michigan 34-17. Gophers could have lost by that amount too. They won 40-35 at UNLV, a team that finished 10-3.
