I keep hitting refresh to see the updates. Signing day doesn't have the excitement as in the past with all the transferring allowed, but it is still fun to see the signees come in.

On a related note, what do you think the panic level is in Penn State? It is unbelievable what is going on there. And here are the bottom three Big Ten classes on 247 right now. Mind blowing, IMO.

The Nebraska situation is actually more surprising then Penn State. I can understand Penn State having trouble getting a lot of commits without a coach and I am sure they lost some to VT as well with Franklin going there.

But Nebraska has a coach so unless they have just decided to punt high school recruiting in favor of the portal, them just having 9 commits is surprising.

Had an offer from Ole Miss and Georgia Tech.

Estrada was the one I was most worried about with the revolving door that was the Texas RB coming in and then leaving. His tape looks fantastic and he looks like he has that home run speed

If Estrada and Thomas sign, that would be 12 players rated 88 and above on 247. 90 is a 4 star, 88 & 89 are high end 3 star guys. For comparison:

2024: 8
2023: 7
2022: 4

I'm just getting nervous about Henson.

Definitely a little strange he hasn't signed yet. Hopefully he still does.

Always fascinating to see how the numbers work out. Current GopherSports roster show 109 players on it with probably 27 done with eligibility, declaring for draft, or retiring so far. So with 31-32 recruits we are at around 114 players or so before the portal opens.

Roster limit is 105 but not sure how many players are still grandfathered in and don't count towards that number. Will be interesting to see how many guys transfer out and how many we can bring in.

I read where Iowa tried hard to flip DL Jeremiah Benson then settled flipping on Janda from Wisconsin.

Most excited to see what Roman Voss can do as an instate kid, but Estrada and Hopkins are big signings. Hoping one of the 5 WR pans out for us.

The signing of Trout and Johnson on the line are great ones too
