Things weren't this bad even during the Les Steckel debacle.

There's been a couple games this year that are as noncompetitive as you'll ever see

He's not really change of pace. Jones is a better pass catcher but there's no reason he can't be a #1.

Probably have to designate it post June 1. I don't know if that means you can't get a 2026 draft pick or not. I don't necessarily want to trade him but there's some sort of disconnect with him.

If Mason is the #1 RB, they have a below average starting RB .

They're not moving Darrisaw regardless of this 'disconnect'. It makes their cap situation worse and they would likely significantly downgrade with his replacement. It makes zero sense.

It's going to be extremely difficult to improve this roster next season with the cap hell that they are in. They are going to need JJ McCarthy to improve significantly and hit on every single draft pick.

Versus an average RB who's hurt all the time. No great drop off.

If they are using next year to clean up the cap, it might be worth taking the hit if they don't want him long term. I wouldn't say it's likely.

He needs to let someone else have the play calling. It appears that is his focus and the team is falling apart at the seams. KOC - has been a great coach up to this year, but he has been a bad decision machine this year and the team plays like a pick up squad. Mental errors everywhere.

He should but he won't. The only one from the Shanahan coaching tree that doesn't/didn't call his own plays was Mike Shanahan himself.

Our competitive season is over. The next several weeks is where the players and coaches determine if they want out and blow it up or if they are going to start to play like they are going to put things back in order next year as a group.

so then if someone gets hurt, its probably not going to be a big deal if they miss a week or two and you're trying to figure out your roster for next year.
Seattle is fighting to get to not be the vikings of last year and have to go on the road to start the playoffs.
Probably silly of us to play JJ at that point, but the rest of the entire roster is dispensable
 

Since Kwesi was hired, our drafting and player decisions have been horrific. Not sure why we would ever hire anyone from the Browns organization.

Almost every single player decision in the last year, has been bad. Basically, we traded a 4th round pick for a 7th round pick, to get Thielen and then we don't use him.

FYI Carolina will receive a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-rounder, while Minnesota receives the veteran receiver, a 2026 conditional seventh-rounder and a 2027 fifth-round pick.
 

The Vikings need to lose out. They're around pick 10 right now. Losing to Washington would be huge. They'd pass the Vikings based on the H2H tiebreaker.

It's a viscious sport.

I"ve never understood having starters in on either side that late.

that's fair. for mn it just doesn't matter much when you look at what that "starting lineup" was imo. each of those guys aside from Jefferson is a debate onif they're on the roster next year
 

That was Seattle's lowest offensive yardage output since 2017 in a win.......217 yards

Ngiba - Smith was averaging 125 yards per game and had 27

Granted, Seattle was trying to run clock, but still.

If the 2 teams are tied at the end of the season Minnesota would pick ahead of Washington in the draft. SOS is the 1st tiebreaker for draft order. SO Minnesota has the weaker SOS then Washington who has the stronger SOS. So Minnesota get the higher draft pick.

Tenn at Cle
Miami at NYJ

Washington still plays the NYG, Arizona plays Atl, Cinci and Miami play, NO and the NYJ, NO and Tenn, Ari and Cinci, Giants and Raiders, etc.

There's still a bunch of bottom dweller games left so we just have to do our part and lose :D
