The Lane Kiffin Tour of SEC Jobs continues.
I had the same thought.Kind of surprised Sparty wanted to take on Fitzgerald’s baggage, given their experiences with Mel Tucker and his sexual harassment allegations, and the sexual assault conviction of Dr Larry Nassar. Fitz was found to be not directly responsible for the hazing at Northwestern, but he did acknowledge that it occurred in his program. I guess the Michigan State board of regents has a higher risk tolerance than most schools.

LolI wouldn’t be surprised if MSU kicks Fleck’s tires. Maybe Heather wants to be closer to home. CBS says Pat Fitzgerald is a name attached to the job.
Prove itBrother, I would swim up the Mississippi with a 45 pound plate tied to my balls for the gophers to have the season Lane is having.
What a crappy way to treat your former school (that paid you $millions) and the players that got you into to playoffs.FWIW - what a douche move

He’s a narcissist, it doesn’t matter to him or people with that type of psychopathyWhat a crappy way to treat your former school (that paid you $millions) and the players that got you into to playoffs.
Was it ole miss pressing him to make a decision at this stage?? If so, seems dumb or at the very least lacking self awareness. They are on the best run the school has had and should know they aren’t the prettiest girl at this dance.
LSU hires Lane Kiffin away from Ole Miss
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin is leaving the Rebels for LSU, in a stunning and unprecedented case of a college football coach taking another job while his current team is in contention to win a national title.

Wow. You trying to steal away some guy's "King Of Bad Takes" title? Was it ole miss pressing him to make a decision at this stage?? If so, seems dumb or at the very least lacking self awareness. They are on the best run the school has had and should know they aren’t the prettiest girl at this dance.
The MSU athletic department is terrible. Izzo is holding that entire operation together by himself.Kind of surprised Sparty wanted to take on Fitzgerald’s baggage, given their experiences with Mel Tucker and his sexual harassment allegations, and the sexual assault conviction of Dr Larry Nassar. I guess hazing you don’t know about is better that sexually harassing someone…Kind of surprised Sparty wanted to take on Fitzgerald’s baggage, given their experiences with Mel Tucker and his sexual harassment allegations, and the sexual assault conviction of Dr Larry Nassar. Yeah, this seems like a really weak hire.Pat Fitzgerald would have been a great hire 10 years ago. At this point he’s a guy who went 3-9 or worse in 3 of his last 4 seasons at NW. Very pleased to have him back in the BIG
Got my ass. Apologies for the absurd position that they should let the coach that got them to the playoff coach in the playoff. Currently hitting my head with a hammer to get better takes!Wow. You trying to steal away some guy's "King Of Bad Takes" title?

He has a slightly over .500 record and his program went off a cliff once Mike Hankwitz retired.I think Fitz is a brilliant hire by MSU. He is a proven winner and was cleared of allegations of hazing at NW.
Won the B1G West a couple times...He has a slightly over .500 record and his program went off a cliff once Mike Hankwitz retired.
Hence why I said he was a good to very good coach once upon a time, but his program was trending down.Won the B1G West a couple times...
Who knows how he adapts to the new world of CFB but I would take Northwestern's results during his time there over anything we've had since 1967. The assumption is he'll have more resources at EL than he had in Evanston. He has a slightly over .500 record and his program went off a cliff once Mike Hankwitz retired.
Every school has more resources and every school says they’re going to give more resources to their coach.Who knows how he adapts to the new world of CFB but I would take Northwestern's results during his time there over anything we've had since 1967. We're not comparing every school. We're comparing MSU and NW.Every school has more resources and every school says they’re going to give more resources to their coach.
Seems like a lot of cope, which I get— if the gophers ever make the playoffs I’m sure the head coach at the moment would almost certainly be offered better positions at universities with much better support in place and that would suck dog ass. I would however much prefer having the better chance of winning for the remainder of that year. IKeep digging
I understand. I’m just saying that every school saying they are keeping their coach or hiring a new coach says it they are investing more. We're not comparing every school. We're comparing MSU and NW.
His 2018 team I think went 0-3 in non con but 8-1 in the big ten. Pretty insane year, but he had a good four year starter at QB and in 2020 he had a good transfer QB from IndianaWon the B1G West a couple times...
