I disagree that they are going to restructure their way out of it. They're not going to restructure Jefferson, Darrisaw, or Murphy who are all on new deals. Greenard, O'Neil, and Van Ginkle would make some sense but the latter 2 will be 31. Do you really want to try and extend/restructure Hockenson's massive deal or do you cut him? He has 12.4 million in dead cap.
Harrison Smith counts for 1.41% of the cap next season, that doesn't save them anything. He'll either be on the roster or need to retire, otherwise it's 10 million in dead cap if they release him.
The biggest problem is Allen and Hargrave. They're count for 43 million against the cap next season and if you cut them, it's still ~28 million in dead cap.
