Who walks on Saturday?

A little surprising that Smith is even wavering at all because he seemed like a lock to head into the draft after this season. Would be awesome if he elected to come back.

Of the guys with more than one year left he seems like the only one that would have legit pro potential if he came out early. The rest almost certainly need another year of college ball before trying the NFL.

Will be interesting to see if anybody is hanging it up early and decides to walk on senior day.

Wow bringing Smith back would be great.

I wouldn’t blame him for opting for the draft.

He hasn't shown out very well against better competition this year. It seems more and more likely that he comes back. That would be huge! We need to retain all the talent possible to have a better year next year.

i'd imagine this is all contingent on what his agent/advisors have told him his stock looks like. I've seen most mocks say he's a 4th rounder. Nothing to scoff at but he would have a chance to ramp up that stock (and guaranteed money) potentially coming back then. will be interesting to see but he's been a great ambassador of the U and wish him nothing but the best either way.

If he sticks around, we’re about to have one hell of a defensive line next year

Agree. It's always hard to tell with DEs/Edge players. I thought Joyner would be drawing an NFL paycheck (if only on a practice squad) but he's not. Smith is better than Joyner, but if he projects as a Day 3 guy I have to think he'll return to school, either here or at a helmet school.

If G League players can play college basketball, I wonder what would stop UFDAs (or player drafted lower than expected) with eligibility left can come back?

Ask Diego Pavia. He's going to play college football until he's old enough to collect social security.
