Do you guys look at the spread

The problems on defense are very much due to really bad coaching and not talent. Talent doesn’t fix this issue.

All of these games remind me of watching the Gopher defense get destroyed by Maryland in 2018. That defense had a ton of talent but the coaching was so bad those players couldn’t overcome it.
I hope you're right because we did make a change and then 2019 happened. I highly doubt this defense has 6 nfl players on it though. lol.

That’s my point! Robb Smith made a stacked defense look terrible.

I don’t think there’s that much upside on this current defense but I should’ve said tpalent alone won’t fix these problems.

You’re going to have to expand on this?
I'm not supposed to know or talk about this but I have it on good authority from a well connected booster that the Saudis are looking to make a splash in the big ten and the gophers are a good fit. Think Wrexham before Ryan Reynolds. Please don't post a screenshot of this on Twitter.

nice!!!!! You're one smart dude, Lou. Help us realize the promise of Minnesota sports and donate a reasonable $32 toward the buyout. Please!
PJ is the 2nd longest tenured coach in a league of 18 teams. Serious programs don’t tolerate accepting mediocrity - they move on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. What you can’t have is a coach increasingly making comments / excuses on why he has it so hard. In the past couple weeks I’ve heard him say just because you want to compete with the top teams doesn’t mean you’ll compete with the top teams, it is what it is, and we compete our tails off - several times. You are getting paid like a top 30 program - recruit better players, or develop the ones you have. If you can’t do it - then you don’t get 7 million a year. And by the way, when you’re a kid on a full scholarship in the Big Ten, competing your tail off is expected. You don’t praise for that. PS - appreciate the insult keyboard tough guys…………..

I just think you're truthfully delusional and it's pretty comical reading this. I have a lot of critiques of coach that I've shared in this thread. But the idea we're gonna drop a boatload of cash to 1. Fire him then 2. Get someone better and finally 3. Get a better roster to 4. Maybe win 9?? games if everything goes right is just laughable. I genuinely advise you to find a new team to cheer for if 6-8 wins with an occasional dream season doesn't float your boat no pun intended.

Agree to disagree. Sounds a lot like Apathy, Complacency, Contentment, Comfort, Acceptance - 5 Pillars of thriving program……….

Lou I implore you to roadmap where the hell all the money would come from to make this possible because what you're missing is this would be a $100m+ endeavor. And again on top of that we'd most likely return to serious basement dweller status of the 1990s and 2000s. That was way worse than being where we are now.

I can tell by how you type that you're well north of 50 years old. Remember the pain, Lou. Remember.

Brewster was a clown and he took the team to back to back bowl games. Team hasn’t been a bottom feeder since Wacker. 35 years ago. That narrative is dogshit. And hey with the money we all spend on tickets, tailgating and NIL donations, I dont know how folks can accept the current product. It’s OK to want more.

We all want a lot of things. You can want to go out on a date with Sydney Sweeney but it isn't possible my friend. By the way I don't know what you'd call 1-11 under Brewster but it feels dare I say "bottom feeder". You are probably a "Kill guy" lol.
