All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

80%offense 20% defense
I downgraded for the poor tackling, 140 yds rushing allowed and lack of turnovers.

I'd be willing to go 65/35 though, for the most part the D bended but did not break. Gave them a chance.

Actually should probable add Special Teams for that last KO return.

Vikings open +3.5, line quickly jumps to +6.5
I expect a GB win but +6.5 seems too high to me for Divisional game and possibly without Josh Jacobs.

I have no idea which Vikings team plans to show up this Sunday so it's probably a tough wager either way to feel confident about it.

.

Yep, Kwesi playing chess. His drafting part of the scheme as well. All part of the long range plan to give us a baby soft 2026 schedule.
It's working for the Patriots...Now JJ just as to become Drake Maye.

Was just thinking about greatest positions of need for next season.
If Vikes could get 3 very good players in upcoming draft, would like them to be at these positions (excluding QB):
- dline
- corner
- safety

Arguments could be made for running back and tight end. Also, our line backers are getting up in years and are injury prone. Possibly even wide receiver based upon who we are able to bring back next season.

How many years has it been since oline has been at the bottom of the concern list.

Good post. It's considered a very deep defensive Draft, especially at CB, S and LB. I sure wouldn't mind seeing RB Jeremiyah Love in a Vikings uniform, too.

Do what you can to move to where you need to to get Caleb Downs. This defense will be much better with him stepping straight in for Harry from day 1. Plays low and high safety, great tackler. guy looks like a future all pro with a very low likelihood of being a miss at a major spot of need. The defense needs to get younger and deeper

Purple Daily went over the cap situation. They're $23 million over, but they can pretty easily get $20 million under or more by waiving Ryan Kelly, Hockenson, Aaron Jones, and Jonathan Allen plus a couple of easy restructures for Brian O'Neil etc.

Phew. Then thankfully they only need to get a starting center, RB, DT and TE after doing so.

This is a little tongue in cheek but though that makes room, it also adds holes to fill. Personally kwesi has put this team in a pretty gross spot cap and hole wise

Brandel will be the starting center. Ingram-Dawlins or Rodriquez will be the DT opposite Hargrave. Mason will likely start at RB backed up by a cheap vet or a draft pick. TE will have to be a cheap vet or a draft pick.

I'm not saying it's a great cap situation but they will have enough room for 1-2 decent free agents. Harrison Smith will have to be replaced and Eric Wilson replaced or brought back at a bigger cap #.

If they move on from Kwesi after the season I won't be sad.

Only two (2) teams are projected to have less Cap space than the Vikings in 2026, even with projected cuts. This could get uglier before it gets better.

Seems like there's always a way to kick the can down the road.
