New Ticket Exchange: Eventshure Support DTA

Hi Folks! My name is Luke Buer. I'm no on special, but I do have a couple podcast: Talk Gopher Buckets and Gopher Gridiron Radio. I recently started a new project that I call Eventshure. Eventshure helps reduce the burden for season ticket holders and making sure unused tickets actually get used — while fostering meaningful shared experiences among fans, friends, and families, something I truly believe is undefeated. How does this work? If you have tickets you can't use and you don't want try sell them or find someone to take them, you can share them to Eventshure and we will market them to move and share a portion of the proceeds with Dinkytown Athletes.

To get this project started, I reached out a number of folks first hand to pressure test the idea and ask if they would be willing to support by sharing tickets. There have been so many generous folks that have already shared ticket. During that process I was introduced to Nadine who I had the pleasure of meeting with. She has been so kind and supportive.

That said, if you are looking to go to a game, please bookmark and consider Eventshure. Conversely, if you are ticket holder and just can't make a game and don't want the work of selling or finding someone to take the ticket – Eventshure can help while supporting Dinkytown Athletes.

Seems like a great idea, thanks for getting this started. I am not likely to be a source of tickets, but I will make a point of checking out Eventschure when I am looking for tickets. Are you willing to share a bit more information on what "portion of the proceeds" get shared with DTA?

I won't give specifics as that is a contract between Eventhsure and DTA. What I wills say is that DTA get a percentage on every single transaction and there were no negotiations.

Not sure what your contract says, but some of these agreements do give the consumer some information to evaluate. Grey Duck's announcement gave a "percentage of revenue" number as to that would be donated. (I think it was something in the neighborhood of 20% for the beer, but I could be mistaken on the exact number.)

I have listened to enough of your podcasts to trust that you are trying to do this for the right reasons and I hope that it is very successful. Be aware, though, that if the model is that you acquire your ticket inventory for free, sell that inventory and share an unspecified percentage with DTA, you might meet with some questions. I'd personally feel a lot better about seeking out your service when I am looking for tickets or donating my extras if I knew DTA was getting 80% of the sale price vs. 10%.

Also, if you haven't already done so, I would suggest posting this information on the sport specific forums as I think they get a lot more traffic than this one and will help you spread the word about your endeavor.

The goal is help make sure ticket don't go unused while supporting DTA. I talked with a number of season ticket holders before starting this project and part of the consistent message was as follows:

1. Life is busy.
2. I want my tickets to be used but that can be work to either price competitively on an exchange or find folks that want to take them.

As for the question of the breakdown of revenue, I would need to talk to Dinkytown Athletes as I don't feel that is not just my decision to make. You also can't choose to ask them directly too.

I greatly appreciate the suggestion. I am new to this community. I've been on 247's site due to my relationship with Ryan Burns. It isn't a bit, I don't read a lot of his stuff and I am not a frequent contributor to the message board their either. I'm busy with work, kids, podcast and a whole host of other things.

When I talked with Nadine who has been wonderful, she pointed me here. I want to be respectful of forum rules and don't want to be using that purely as advertising. Nadine was kind enough to let me post about it, but I won't spam people. That said, I will occasionally post some new things here.
