Predictable PJ

I think he made choices to develop them instead of hire experience.
So far it doesn’t look like a good choice to me. But I trust him to make the choice and don’t think we should fire fleck at this point
I would’ve preferred he hired experience from outside the program.

Maybe in 5 weeks or 13 months I’ll feel differently.

I also have said I think it might be good for both parties to have fresh starts if he left on his own.

It begs the question that's hard to answer for anyone except an Xs & Os expert... If the Gophers had an offensive coordinator like Eric Morris at UNT and defensive coordinator like Phil Parker at Iowa (or name any proven top notch coordinators), would the Gophers have looked significantly better against every FBS opponent this year with the exception of Nebraska?

Doesn’t matter if we sack the QB or harass him into a bad throw.
It does matter if they just run the quarterback for a touchdown untouched like they did for the first touchdown and like Purdue did on a 4th down QB run touchdown

Agreed but that should be highly correctable. How we lose contain both outside and inside is enough to have my late D line coach roll over in his grave. Simple fundamentals with a splash of athleticism.

PJ has developed a very good program at the U. He gets good players and develops them (as noted by how many are playing in the NFL). His players very, very seldom get into trouble and they all put their heart into the game. The program is filled with players of good character and they are very competitive in most games. They have speed and physicality that is at the B1G level. His teams would crush most of the teams fielded by the U over the last 50 years!

Will he win a B1G championship at the U? Most likely not. And that boils down to money, not coaching. As Iaazrakit says:

I know that many of you will not agree with me, but I would rather have the U at its currently level instead of a program that tries to win at all costs. Catering to the whims of a few mega-donors that want to control the program.

Back to Iowa. Iowa is Iowa, they have teams that just keep coming out of nowhere and keep improving. Ferentz is borderline crazy and there is history of player abuse, racism and recruiting violations in Iowa. They have our number, but I would not want their systems.
Im nitpicking here, but it seems to me Mason's teams with Maroney and Barber would demolish PJ'S teams. Just sayin'.

You must be PJ’s brother, wife or neighbor or something?
One could also say PJ must've fucked your wife 15 years ago considering a vast majority of your takes when a mid tier big ten team plays like a mid tier big ten team

Mason’s last 3 teams, which all had either Barber, Maroney, or both, all got smoked in Iowa City. Mason’s best team was losing 40-6 in the 2nd Half in 2003.

It was a very disappointing game and people have a right to be upset, but my gosh to some people need to get a grip. Instead of a coach saying a performance was unacceptable & it’s on him, people would rather him say I’m Ferentz’ bitch. Some people (not you but others) need to grow up!

its interesting but I think natural for people to misremember

Lucky we live in the age in the internet and can check these things.
1999 gophers were masons best team in my opinion. They beat 1-10 Iowa by 4 in Iowa city.

I would have to look it up. But how many gopher teams never lost by more than 7 post warmath? Is 1999 the only one?
