As I’ve posted in response to this before, Franklin’s record is pretty similar to Paterno’s in this regard.

Clearly Rhule overcoming having to be at Nebraska makes Rhule the better coach

As I’ve posted in response to this before, Franklin’s record is pretty similar to Paterno’s in this regard.

Paterno also had fairly cyclical ups and downs record wise… something Franklin has largely avoided.

Now that Franklin is gone, it is almost hard to believe that, of current head coaches, Fleck is the second longest tenured in the B1G (longest? - Ferentz of course)

The disaster that was the period from Mason -> Fleck scared Gopher fans straight. We know how bad it can get.

Quick peek at his bio shows mostly offensive coaching roles but I highly doubt he will end up going the position coach role. He won't have trouble finding a head coaching gig if he wants one....question will be if he wants one or if he would rather enjoy PSU's money while doing something else like TV or whatever.

Agreed. Unless he is burnt out, Franklin seems like a HC kinda guy.
